HISTORY OF THE EVENT In 2014, Robert Clark, President of Historic Annapolis, Dean D Camera, President of D Camera Group and Dennis Brant, President of Brant Sports Group brought together a group of elite Annapolitan men to raise awareness of Historic Annapolis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making our unique capital city a true Museum Without Walls. Robert, Dean and Dennis realized Historic Annapolis needed an infusion of younger supporters and affordable, lively, fun activities to truly thrive and continue their foundations missions and increase awareness. Both longtime residents and newcomers will come together to enjoy a fun filled evening with blazers, bourbon and cigars. This event was established to provide a premier Gentlemen s only evening in Annapolis with wonderful food, drinks, cigars and clothiers, from both local and afar. The inaugural Blazers.Bourbon.Cigars event was a great success due to the support Maker's Mark provided to this event as the presenting sponsor and partner. From the treasured dipped glasses, the unlimited tastings along with the auction items provided by Maker's Mark - we were able to raise over $48,000. For our first year, we were able to attract 14 food vendors who donated there services, 12 vendors who sponsored tables, 28 auction items sold and over 350 attendees. This is a gathering of the who s who in Annapolis, including local residents, as well as those traveling from surrounding areas such as Washington, Baltimore, and the Eastern Shore. A HISTORIC VENUE FOR A HISTORIC EVENT! THE PACA HOUSE & GARDENS is the restored home of William Paca, signer of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary-era Governor of Maryland, stands today as one of the most elegant landmarks in Annapolis. Guided tours of the house take place hourly on the half-hour. Visitors can take a self-paced tour of the garden at any time during opening hours. The House & Garden also offer a uniquely beautiful outdoor space for weddings and other special occasions, as well as an indoor meeting facility.
