Issaquah School District Issaquah High School Reconstruction December 2009 West side of the site: North classroom building is being sheet-rocked, taped, and primed. Data and electrical wiring is being pulled in the building along with HVAC equipment. In the central classroom, building sprinkler, plumbing, electrical, and insulation is continuing in preparation for sheet-rock. The south classroom is not as far along as all workers are working from the north building to the south. This allows us to keep schedule while using workers who are familiar with the previous work. This also reduces the learning curves and adds to the quality of the work and completed project. Concrete is being prepped and poured for the connector corridor between the classroom buildings. Eastside of the site: Steel stud framing continues in the kitchen, gyms, and various classrooms and the exterior sheathing is being installed on various walls. Sprinkler, plumbing, and electrical are keeping pace with the framing. Roof installation proceeds as weather permits over the main gym and the upper floors with hopefully enough breaks to proceed to the central core by the holidays. This may be optimistic as only 4 days in November were dry enough to proceed with roofing. The current cold but dry weather is helping get the roofing completed. Site work: The retaining wall between the tennis courts and the softball fields is completed and once it's waterproofed it can be backfilled. The east fire road retaining walls are nearly complete and the generator enclosure should start soon. The retaining wall and seating around the north end of the track has been excavated and waiting for concrete forming. Earthwork and slab preparation has started on the east side of the grandstand by taking advantage of the season s end of the fall sports program.
