Configuring the control units Apply the procedure described in the Configuring the control units section to declare the units on your installation. b. Configuring the readers In the Type of readers window, select the Vein or Fingerprint reader you wish to install (CBMPROX485 / SOLO, BIOVEIN). Enter the reader s identifier, which is found on the label affixed inside the reader itself (SOLO / CBMPROX485) or in the information menu of the BIOVEIN reader. Click OK. Caution: If you are connecting only one biometric reader to a particular control unit, and the unit s second reader is not used, either leave type HID for the second reader, or delete it.

p.14/48 c. Configuring a USB encoder To encode badges (such as MIFARE ) compatible with the CBMPROX485 / SOLO, you need a USB encoder (Prod. Ref. ENCOD-USB; this encoder does not require a driver). To put it in service in SenatorFX.NET, click the Technical tab, followed by Site configuration, and then apply the following procedure: You can check the status of your encoder by opening a badge file, clicking the encoding tab, and checking the Encoder status value:

p.15/48 d. Configuring a biometric enroller To create badges with fingerprints for your users, you need a biometric enroller. Compatibility between enrollers and biometric readers Readers used Compatible enroller CBMPROX485 / SOLO CBMPROX485 / SOLO-USB BIOVEIN BIOVEIN Before declaring your enroller in SenatorFX.NET, check that this software is installed on your PC and that the drivers have also been installed. Next, open a user file and select the Encoding tab: You can then: Encode a badge with a fingerprint: SenatorFX.NET will ask you to enrol one or two of the user's fingers and then encode the user's badge. Encoding a badge to be enrolled: this button lets you encode a badge that you give to the user, who will enrol himself/herself on a CBMPROX485/SOLO reader at his/her first entry or exit. Encode a badge without a fingerprint: the user of this badge will not be required to present a fingerprint when passing CBMPROX485/SOLO readers. To do this, you can select whether or not each reader will accept this type of badge (Reader configuration, special functions in the Technical tab, and then Site configuration ). Erasing a badge: erase the entire badge configuration so that it can be re-used for another user. g. p.25/48 MULTI-STATION Installation SenatorFX.NET allows several PCs (up to 10 client workstations) on one network to manage an installation (no additional dongle required). On remote workstations, select Client installation type: refer to the Software installation section for further details. The first time the client workstation is booted, proceed as follows: By default, the graphical interface tries to connect to the server on the current machine. In the Server address field, specify the name of the machine (or its IP address, if fixed) on which the communication service is installed. Click Connection. Opening of the SENATORFX.NET software home page Click OK. If you are unable to progress further than the Server Connection screen: - Ensure that the communication service is up and running on the server workstation - Check the input value for the server address field - Port 8731 is used by default. Ensure that it has not been modified on the server workstation - If a firewall is active on the server workstation, a TCP exception must be added for port 8731. Ask your site s network administrator for advice.
