R I D G E R O C K INTEGRAL SHEAR KEY SYSTEM Each unit is composed of an integrated, user-friendly concrete shear key system, which provides block-to-block shear resistance. The RidgeRock unit is installed by sliding its patented shear key between two blocks on a lower course unit until the units and the shear key engage. The open core is then filled with drainage stone up to the level of the geogrid placement. FLEXIBLE WING POSITIONING SYSTEM Positioning wings, located on each side of the RidgeRock unit, provide additional shear resistance between the shear key and the underlying course of block. This allows flexibility in placing the block for easy installation of straight lines, curves, corners and steps. CHIP-AWAY SHEAR KEY A molded groove is included in the shear key for easy removal of portions of the shear key. Removing portions of the shear key allow walls to be constructed with a near vertical setback. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE RidgeRock provides unsurpassed estimating services and technical support. Warm colors are muted for a timeworn effect. Belgado was developed to provide a beautiful and upscale appearance without sacrificing the structural integrity of the retaining wall project. Belgado utilizes the same patented shear key interlocking system as the original RidgeRock system, but also provides two different units for varying wall designs. M E S S I N A Messina provides the same old world, elegant look of Belgado, while incorporating the overwhelmingly popular features of our RidgeRock II product line. The Messina system is comprised of four units, each with their own unique appearance and characteristics. One unit covers one square foot of face. The Messina retaining wall system incorporates the latest advancement in the RidgeRock family of products the patented Flexible Wing Positioning System (FWPS). Coupled with the integrated shear key, the positioning wings, located on each side of the Messina unit, provide additional shear resistance with the course above.
