Rate of return is based on quality Elements of an investment with a high return: High product quality Yield Life Span Rate of Return = Yield x Life Span Goal: Generating maximum yield (kwh per kwp) while providing the longest possible product life

Potential failures of non-quality modules

More than 30 years of experience in constructing durable solar modules Patterned glass: Less reflection, higher efficiency, lower output degradation Optimized AR coating of cell: High light yield, higher efficiency Iso-textured cell surface: High efficiency, dark appearance Optimized cell distances: For improved long term durability Optimized distance between frame and cells: Easy self-cleaning and low shading Non-extruded, torsion resistant aluminum frame: No damage due to 7. freezing and high mechanical stability Weather resistant junction box Fully automated solding process: Stress-reduced cell connection for high durability

Experience SCHOTT Solar knows what is really important for the long-term operation of solar modules. 5,000,000 m² of installed module surface speaks for itself. 18 Double IEC testing SCHOTT Solar s internal test standard requires double IEC testing and even more. Based on IEC 61215: TCT (Thermo-Cycle-Test): 200 cycles (- 40 C to + 85 C) DHT (Damp-Heat-Test): 1000 h (+85 C / 85% r.f.) SCHOTT Solar test conditions: TCT (Thermo-Cycle-Test): 400 cycles (- 40 C to + 90 C) DHT (Damp-Heat-Test): 2000 h (+85 C / 85% r.f.) Kombi 20 weeks (3 days TCT 4 days DHT) Open field 20 weeks Page 18 of 23

Only plus tolerances All SCHOTT Solar modules are being flashed during production. SCHOTT Solar delivers only modules that really have the indicated nominal power output: Crystaline products: -0 / +4.99 Wp ASI thin film products: -0 / + 1.99/2.99 Wp This means: A SCHOTT Poly 225 module ranges between 225 Wp and < 230 Wp. This guarantees real performance and consistently high energy yields. All electrical measurements of the modules are based on the standard by Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy The SCHOTT measuring tolerance Solar AG for the nominal output is ± 4 %

Over 90% performance stability In an ongoing long-term study conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute, tested samples of SCHOTT Solar modules showed an extremely high durability and an average degradation of less than 10 % after 26 years. Module type: PQ 10/40/01 (38,4 P mpp ) Yield: 2,3 kwp Installation: 1984
