The Irrigation Initiative in the Sahel How to do better, more and quickly? Objective, vision, approach Objective improve the capacity of countries and stakeholders in the sector of irrigated agriculture to develop and manage irrigation and increase irrigated land using a regional "solutions" approach in the participating countries Vision allow the six countries to collaborate around the best emerging approaches to irrigation development at the national and sub-regional levels, and to tackle the issues together, at the same time allowing them to benefit economies of scale Approach create a collaborative regional platform for technical assistance, knowledge and demonstration investments using an innovative solution-driven approach
