More Reasons to choose METYX Composites Tooling Center FRP Tool Production Using our precise patterns, we produce FRP molds for spray up, hand lay, RTM, L-RTM, and vacuumassisted infusion processes. We can also produce large-scale molds using a direct negative molding technique, allowing us to simply machine the molds from a sub-structure strengthened by a steel frame, high-density polyurethane, and epoxy putty. This technique can also be used for smaller one-off proto molds to increase efficiency and lower tooling cost for the prototype phase. Pattern and Plug Production Our standard pattern production consists of a wooden or foambased structure laminated with glass, followed by an application of epoxy putty. The epoxy putty is milled to form the final surface before finishing. A primer and top coat is applied, sanded, and polished to achieve the desired surface finish.
