HouseMark s Future Leaders programme provides the platform for you to explore your own leadership style and develop your own skills and ability. Bringing together talented future leaders from across the social housing sector with experts in leadership and out-of-sector experiences, the programme will see you develop your own leadership capability to shape the way you work and ensure you are best placed to deliver your organisation s ambitions now, and into the future. You will benefit from: Session one YOU AND YOUR LEADERSHIP The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst 7 and 8 September, Surrey This first session sets the scene for the programme and provides the opportunity to define where you are now, where you want to be and what you think you need to get there. We will be joined by Colonel Richard Westley, a truly inspirational speaker who will share his own leadership journey, his learning along the way and the milestones in his career that shaped what kind of leader he is today. Exclusive behind the scenes access to organisations who have developed inspirational leaders, hearing their own personal leadership stories. Connecting with, and learning from, successful leaders who will help you explore your own personal values. Bespoke coaching to identify your leadership philosophy allowing you to explore and develop your own leadership style and how you can apply your learning back into your own organisation. Impressive learning environments selected specifically to facilitate engagement and inspiration. Strengthening professional networks and discovering new partnership opportunities. Tangible tools to take away and a personalised action plan to develop and deliver your own skills and leadership ability. Session two Session three Expert facilitation Sam Whale is managing director at Unforgiving Minute, a niche consultancy specialising in leadership development. He will be joining us as a guest facilitator to ensure you get the most out of the programme. LEADING OTHERS St George s Park 14 and 15 November, Burton-upon-Trent The second session builds upon your previous learning and looks at exploring your personal skillset and how to strengthen your engagement and influencing ability. John Steele, Executive Director of Sport at Loughborough University, and Audrey Cooper from The FA will be joining us as guest speakers to share their ideas and experiences in leadership. Identify the impact that you have on others and equip you with more skills and self-awareness to create and sustain quality relationships. Develop your influencing skills to enhance critical stakeholder relationships. Enhance your understanding of a leaders role in creating and developing high performing teams. LEADING IN THE FUTURE The Clink and a central London location 6 and 7 February 2018, London In our final two sessions, we ll look at leadership in practice. Exploring the importance of leadership, motivation and engagement, we will identify ways you can transfer learning into your organisation. Chris Moore, Managing Director at The Clink, and Hazel Waddington from Bolton at Home, will be explaining how their leadership styles have developed and the tools they use to support their work. Learn first-hand what it has taken to lead the creation and success of The Clink restaurant within Brixton prison. Encourage you to understand the need for change and innovation in order to remain successful. Help you to determine how you will develop your own leadership capability in the future. Sam has previously delivered leadership and coaching solutions to Olympic and Paralympic sports. He has worked alongside some of the UK s leading elite coaches and performance directors in preparation for London 2012. Spending more than five years at UK Sport, he was responsible for leading the prestigious Elite Coach Programme, an initiative created in response to the growing need to develop world class high performance coaches. He has also worked with a range of organisations including the BBC, Topman, Bromford Housing and Sport Wales. Bespoke coaching You will receive a personal and tailored coaching session with Sam so you get the most out of the programme. He will work with you to: Identify your personal learning goals. Explore how the commercial sector experience can be applied to the world of housing. Plan how you can implement what you learn back into your business through transferable learning.
Joining the programme Joining the programme Future Leaders is aimed at talented professionals seeking to develop their career, make a strategic leap into senior management and enhance their contribution within their organisation. To ensure maximum benefit to participants the programme is limited to 15 places. Costs The cost of this programme is 3,500 for HouseMark members and 4,500 for non-members. Please note, costs include lunch, refreshments and programme materials but do not include VAT, travel, dinners and accommodation. Full terms and conditions overleaf. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Commitment Each sign-up requires a commitment of six days plus time allocated for one to one sessions. It s recommended that you attend all sessions to get the most from the programme. For some visits, we may recommend an overnight stay. Places are not transferable. Refunds on all or part of the programme will not be authorised if you re unable to attend. Travel and accomodation Delegates are responsible for organising their own transport to the venue and arranging any hotel accommodation if required, unless otherwise confirmed as part of the programme. This cannot be re-charged to HouseMark. Please note, we do not accept any liability to delegates if they re unable to enjoy part of the event due to delays or failure to transport. Food HouseMark will provide lunch and refreshments as appropriate for each event. Alterations to line-up and dates In exceptional circumstances, we may need to alter aspects of the programme. Any changes will be made clear to delegates. We will give as much notice as possible and alternative arrangements will be made. We cannot reimburse any expenses you may have incurred. Payment Payment is as per the invoice issued following confirmation of booking. Cancellation policy No refund on all or part of the programme due to cancellation will be issued. We aim to make sure the events run as planned.
