Macro-economic analyses for the 2017 AWP The Analyses identified: the MOST PROMISING geographical areas - in the past exercises there has been a major focused in Eastern Europe+Central Asia. - will change with the AWP this exercise, where Asia and North America will collect most of the interest the MOST PROMISING products for promotion purposes (including specific sectors where due to recent market conditions and developments, a boost of exports could be beneficial: dairy, pig meat)

Macro-economic analyses for the 2017 AWP Conclusions: 1. China and South East Asia attractive markets with promising prospects for increasing imports of EU agricultural + Numerous FTA with South East Asian countries. 2. North America: major interest due to absorbing a large share of world imports+ FTAs 3. Central and South American countries attractive for specific products. The same for Middle East (in particular Iran may be explored) 4. Eastern Europe and Central Asia challenging political situation and import embargo with Russia. 5. Japan and Korea as well as New Zealand and Australia may be of some interest. FTAs 6. African markets should be explored. Will absorb larger shares of world exports and should be a promising destination for promotion activities 7. certain share of the promotion budget to particular sectors in difficulties and challenging market situations. ( dairy and d pig meat sector).
