(113 g) per 100 sq. ft. (9.3 sq. meters) of base. 4. Extra Decor-Flor Aggregate must be ordered for smaller jobs where broadcast aggregates can not be recovered for re-use. An additional quantity of 1 bag per 100 sq. ft. of aggregates is required for broadcasting of aggregates where work is not repetitive and aggregates cannot be recovered for re-use. 5. Where Decor-Flor cove base is to be installed, it should be placed by trowel, grouted and sealed before the floor application begins. 6. Decor-Flor cove base four inches (10 cm) high will require approximately.010 units of Decor- Flor Floodcoat;.006 bag (.4 lbs.) (0.18kg) Decor- Flor Aggregate and desired amount of thickener powder (approximately 2 oz by volume) per lineal foot (30 cm). 7. If two coats of Floodcoat Finish are required order an additional.57 units of Decor-Flor Floodcoat. Surface Preparation A. Concrete: See Crossfield Products Corp. Specification S-2. B. Wood and Other Surfaces: Consult Crossfield Products Corp. Job Site Survey A. Perform moisture testing in accordance with one of the following methods: ASTM F1869 Standard Test Method for Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission Rate of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride. Verify and document the results in accordance with the specification. If MVER exceeds 3 lbs./24 hrs./1000 sq. ft. and is under 10 lbs./24 hrs./1000 sq. ft., apply Dex- O-Tex VaporControl Primer 200 as per Application Specification S-970. If MVER exceeds 10 lbs./24 hrs./1000 sq. ft. and under 15 22* lbs./24 hrs./1000 sq. ft., apply VaporControl Primer 100 as per application specification S-972. Dex-O-Tex Application Specification Page 1 of 5 Cheminert CFS

ASTM F2170 Determining Relative Humidity in Concrete Floor Slabs Using in situ Probes. Verify and document the results in accordance with the specification. If the insitu relative humidity (rh) of the substrate is greater than 75% and less than 84%, apply Dex-O-Tex VaporControl Primer 200 as per Application Specification S-970. If the in-situ relative humidity (rh) is greater than 84%, and less than 89 99%*, apply VaporControl Primer 100 as per Application Specification S-972. *Apply VaporControl Primer 100 at the specified thickness required as per Application Specification S-972 for the level of MVER or insitu relative humidity percentage of the substrate. B. Inspect substrate to verify proper preparation before applying any materials. C. Measure and record ambient temperature and humidity, surface temperature and the temperature of the material being used. Do not proceed with the application if the conditions are outside the recommended parameters. D. Inspect materials to be used. Verify material is the proper material and all components and sizes are correct. Inspect all containers and verify a proper factory seal with no signs of damage or leakage. Premix Liquid materials into a smooth homogenous blend before uses. Environmental Conditions All materials are mixed, applied and cured at the job site. Minimum environmental conditions are required to facilitate proper curing and Performance of the Products. Ensure conditions are in accordance with the following requirements. Substrate Temperature 55 O F 90 O F Relative Humidity NA 78% MVER NA 3 lbs* Materials Temperature 60 O F 85 O F * 3 lbs of MVT, per 1000 sq. ft., during a 24 hr., period as measured by ASTM F1869. Materials should be delivered in original packages and containers with seals unbroken and bearing manufacturer's labels containing brand name and directions for storage and mixing with other components. Check materials immediately upon receipt, verify all the correct materials in the correct packaging are accounted for in good condition. Sort the materials and store them in a tempered storage area. STEP ONE C Bondcoat A. The mix ratio for C Bondcoat is 2 part component A to 1 part component B (2A:1B). In a clean mixing vessel pour 2 parts C Bondcoat component A to 1 part C Bondcoat component B. Mix with a drill motor and a Jiffy mixer for (2) minutes. Working time is approximately (30) minutes. Trowel, squeegee or roller apply the mixture to the prepared surface at the rate of 200-250 sq. ft. per gallon. Do not puddle the material. A unit 3 of C Bondcoat will cover approximately 225 sq. ft. (21 sq. meters) over typically absorptive concrete, when applied with squeegee and backrolled. B. Apply C Bondcoat by trowel, brush or squeegee and Backroll into a tight even coating. Apply only a thin coating. Apply evenly and remove all excess, leave no puddles. Ambient Min Max Temperature 45 O F 100 O F Relative Humidity 20% rh 85% rh Wind NA 30 mph C. C Bondcoat may be applied in three techniques: 1. Apply to a small area in a very thin coat with squeegee or trowel immediately prior to application of Cheminert. LEAVE NO PUDDLES. 2. Apply as above to large area and subsequently install Cheminert K Basecoat Dex-O-Tex Application Specification Page 2 of 5 Cheminert CFS

over wet C Bondcoat with mechanics working on kneeboards. 3. Apply to large area and sprinkle a small amount of dry #30 silica sand on the wet Bondcoat surface. Apply Cheminert K Basecoat the next day. The sand will produce a tooth which will keep the Cheminert Basecoat from sliding on the dried Bondcoat surface. STEP TWO Basecoat A. Add Cheminert K Basecoat Component B to Component A, being certain to drain the Component B completely. Blend with drill motor and jiffy mixing blade. Pour the liquid mix into a mixing vessel (either a 2 gallon pail for drill mixing Unit One batches or an appropriate large mechanical mixer for bulk quantities. Pour the preblended resin components into an appropriate size Mixing vessel (Approx 10 gal Pail) add one bag of Cheminert K 1/8 (fine) Aggregate. When using bulk resins add one bag of Cheminert K 1/8 (fine) Aggregate per mixed gallon of Cheminert K resin. Blend long enough to be certain the preblended A an B components have thoroughly and evenly wetted the aggregates. CAUTION: Do not pour unblended Basecoat resin components into pail containing aggregate. Always blend the Basecoat resin components first, then pour into mixing vessel and add aggregates. B. The Basecoat should be edge troweled or screeded into place (an aluminum or magnesium float is best) and then compacted into position by using a trowel held flat. Flat trowel the mix into tight closed surface, free from trowel marks or ridges. CAUTION: Do not compact the Basecoat until the material is in place. Once the Basecoat is compacted, it is very difficult to spread out. Apply Basecoat as rapidly as possible, commensurate with achieving good finish. The longer the material sets in the bucket, the more difficult it will be to spread. C. A Unit One of Cheminert K Basecoat will cover approximately 40 sq. ft. (3.68 sq. meters) of floor area at 1/8 (3.18mm) in thickness. D. At temperatures of 65 F (18C ), Cheminert K will generally set and cure hard enough to support foot traffic in approximately eight hours. E. After the Cheminert K has cured sufficiently to support foot traffic any rough areas should be scraped with the edge of a trowel and any loose aggregates, etc. vacuumed from the surface. STEP THREE - Applying Decor-Flor Base A. If coved base is to be applied, this is usually best accomplished by making a stiff mix consisting of 1/2 unit 3 of Decor Flor Floodcoat (Components A & B) mix with approximately 12 oz by volume of thickener powder into which approximately 70-100 lbs. (11.32 kg) of Decor- Flor Aggregate is blended. The coved base is applied by trowel. It is also helpful to prime the base with a thickened Bondcoat and let it take an initial tack before troweling the coved base mix into place. B. Installation of Decor-Flor cove base should be made to a piece of heavy cloth tape, placed either at the bottom of the cove radius or approximately 1 ½ (3.8cm) out on the floor, to create a straight edge finish at the toe of the base. When using the method where the base terminates at the bottom of the radius, burn in the base as tightly as possible to the floor. If terminating out on the floor apply Decor-Flor base to the anticipated thickness of the floor. Remove the tape shortly after the cove base and toe have been formed and before the cove base materials cure. After cove base sets up apply tape over base and match the thickness when installing the quartz layer of the floor. STEP FOUR Decor-Flor Floodcoat A. Pour components A and B into a suitable mixing container insuring that the entire contents of the cans are transferred to the mixing container. Dex-O-Tex Application Specification Page 3 of 5 Cheminert CFS

Blend thoroughly with a small Jiffy Blade until the mix is homogeneous. Decor-Flor Floodcoat has a pot life of approximately 30 minutes. B. Spread the blended Decor Floodcoat materials evenly and fairly liberally over the entire surface making sure there are no dry spots or voids, using a squeegee and backrolling with a short nap roller. This material will flow out in approximately 5 to 7 minutes, filling any minor voids or depressions. The Decor Floodcoat surface must be uniform, wet and free of ridges. overlap (which can result in an uneven appearing finish). A unit 3 of Floodcoat will cover approximately 300-350 sq. ft. (16.3 sq. meters). B. Floodcoat should be applied to verticals and cove base by paint brush, allowed to take an initial set and then pulled tight with a rubber squeegee to avoid puddling at the bottom of the cove base. All applications to cove base must be minimum coats, applied with care to eliminate excess deposits of Floodcoat at the cove area. C. A unit 3 of Decor Floodcoat will cover approximately 300 sq. ft. (13.94 sq. meters). D. Where work is to be stopped for the day, such as at doorways and meeting other finishes, apply a strip of heavy cloth tape to concrete prior to spreading Floodcoat. This will create a straight edge stop. Apply Floodcoat up to and slightly over the edge of the tape. Remove tape shortly after broadcasting Decor-Flor Aggregate. STEP FIVE - Decor-Flor Aggregate A. Immediately after the Floodcoat material flows out, the preblended Decor-Flor Aggregates are heavily broadcast into the Floodcoat. B. or stains not removed could be sealed into the surface. Pay particular attention to cleanliness of footwear and knee pads when sealing. STEP SIX - Floodcoat Finish A. Pour the components A and B into a suitable mixing container insuring that the entire contents of the cans are transferred to the mixing container. Blend thoroughly with a small Jiffy Blade until the mix is homogeneous. Decor-Flor Floodcoat Resin has a pot life of approximately 30 minutes. Spread the Floodcoat evenly and liberally, using a clean, soft rubber (DO NOT use Black Rubber blades) squeegee. Allow the Floodcoat to flow slightly heavy and soak into the surface. Then remove the excess material with the rubber edge squeegee. A wet edged bead of Floodcoat should be left where the next pour of Floodcoat is to be made to avoid excessive C. If a smoother finish than normal is desired, apply a second coat of Floodcoat finish. This will require an additional.20 unit 3 of Decor-Flor Resin material per 100 sq. ft. (9.3 sq. meters). General Cautions 1. Read and follow Crossfield Products Corp. Specification S-900. 2. For proper workability it is important that the Dex-O-Tex materials be stored and mixed at a temperature of 65 F - 80 F (18 C - 26 C). 3. The substrate temperature should be between 65 F - 80 F. A warm substrate will decrease the pot life and make the materials sticky. A cooler substrate will retard the cure and may cause a blush of the epoxy resins. 4. All concrete curing agents, sealers and hardeners must be removed from the concrete prior to application of the Bondcoat. 5. When mixing the epoxy resin components, be sure to use all of the provided resins. The resins are pre-measured to the correct ratios. Scrape all of the hardener from the container into the resin. 6. Do not turn mixing vessels upside down to drain on the flooring surface. Unmixed resin from the side may produce soft or uncured spots on the flooring surface. 7. Keep the unfinished flooring surface clean. Do not track dirt, grease, or any other contaminate onto the unfinished flooring surface. Any contaminate could effect the aesthetics of the finished flooring. 8. Good ventilation must be provided during application, particularly in confined spaces. Dex-O-Tex Application Specification Page 4 of 5 Cheminert CFS

9. Always obtain, read and observe Manufacturer s Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) before handling epoxy materials. Become familiar with the products on paper before you open the pails. Cautions for Safe Handling of Epoxy, Polyurethane or Polyurea Materials 1. Read and observe precautionary statements on product labels. 2. Keep containers tightly closed. 3. Keep out of reach of children. 4. For industrial use only. Do not allow application by untrained workers. 5. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before re-use. 6. Use of safety goggles and chemical resistant gloves is recommended. Wear only full-length trousers and long-sleeve shirts. Apply protective creams to exposed skin areas. 7. In general, prolonged contact of epoxies, polyurethanes or polyureas with skin may cause irritation. Contact with curing agents or polyurea resins may cause skin burns. Products may cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Avoid all contact with eyes. 8. In case of contact with skin, immediately remove the material with soap and water. Upon completion of work at lunchtime or end of day, carefully check all skin surfaces for any traces of resinous materials. Wash with soap and water. If wash facilities are not located nearby, establish water-washing station at work site. Do not use solvents to remove epoxy, polyurethane or polyurea materials from skin, as solvents will drive material deeper into skin. If redness or a skin rash develops, consult a physician. 9. Mix and apply materials only in conditions of good ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors. Appropriate respiratory protection is required when exposure to airborne contaminants may exceed acceptable limits. Respirators should be selected and used in accordance with OSHA, subpart I (29 CFR 1910.134). DEX-O-TEX PRODUCT LINE Crossfield Products Corp. West Coast Office East Coast Office 3000 E.
