RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR Subject to conditions prescribed by the CM/Contractor, responses to the CM/Contractor s prequalification documents for a Lump Sum Subcontract are sought from prospective Toilet Partitions and Accessories +Fire subcontractor bidders (hereafter subcontractors ) for the following projects: Anderson School of Management Addition Project Number 942513.01 UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES OF PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: The CM/Contractor has determined that subcontractors who submit bids on these projects must be prequalified. Prequalified subcontractors will be required to have the following California contractor s license: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: D-34 Anderson School of Management Addition: The Project will construct a 63,000 GSF building addition to the Anderson School of Management. The new construction will comprise approximately 63,000 GSF of classroom, event space and administrative offices as well as the seismic upgrade of the 339,000 SF Parking Structure 5. The new building will have (1) 200-person auditorium and (3) 90-person classrooms, a central organizing atrium, and 200 person event space, and entrances at parking structure drop off as well as the Briskin Family Plaza. The seismic upgrade will include work on all levels of the occupied parking structure as well as new foundation work for the new addition, including lead paint abatement in the existing Parking Structure 5. Interior finishes will include carpet, linoleum and sheet vinyl flooring, paint and casework. The Project will provide telephone and communications connectivity conduit and cabling, cable television, and a security system at building entry doors. The scope of work will include limited building demolition, excavation and construction of new seismic sheer walls and foundation footings, concrete encasement of existing columns, and Fiber Reinforcement Polymer (FRP) strengthening; new building construction including elevators, a raked floor classroom, atrium(s) event space(s) and the Admissions and Dean's suite of offices, provision of domestic water, fire water, sewer, gas, electrical, audio/visual, security and telecommunications utilities; provision of paving, landscaping, irrigation, site drainage, parking structure waterproofing, a complete lighting plan; signage and graphics package; and installation of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. Additional work includes code review, waterproofing detailing and acoustic studies, daylighting, energy modeling and LEED certification. Any assertion that the outcome of the prequalification process was improper will not be a ground for a bid protest. The dates, times, and location set for receiving and opening of bids will be set forth in an Advertisement for Bids. The CM/Contractor reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive non-material irregularities in any response received. All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in confidence, and the CM/Contractor will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the CM/Contractor within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. These projects are subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Prequalified Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $13 per hour as of 3
