matteco CONSTRUCTION sound insulation products for walls and ceilings for timber and solid structures A small financial investment increases the value of your property. You gain peace and quiet and living comfort for a lifetime. In-house production!
matteco GmbH manufactures high-quality rubber products from recycled rubber powder without PU binders in its own German production facilities. matteco is using a unique process based on a special binder for manufacturing extremely highquality rubber products from recycled rubber powder, which are in turn 100% recyclable without adding additional binder. The raw material is a fine powder of used tyre rubber in a grain size between 0 and 0.7 mm or granulate between 0.8 and 1.2 mm. The powder is mixed with a copolyester binder without plasticiser and heated up, pressed and then cooled by means of special processes. matteco rubber products have outstanding properties for solving acoustic problems and reducing vibrations and can also be combined very effectively with insulation material. These products are also suitable for very high loads thanks to the excellent recovery properties. After unrolling, the products largely remain in the shape of mats or panels, lie completely flat on the floor and do not have the tendency to roll back together. matteco rubber products are provided with a special coating, e.g. fleece (polyester) or an adhesive coating. Thanks to its in-house production facilities, matteco can quickly and easily address customer needs and tailor the rubber mats to your individual desired sizes. Rubber products with a wide range of properties can be manufactured with various recipes.
AL matteco AL Acoustic Bearings Areas of application Matteco acoustic bearings for walls and ceilings are manufactured from recycled, technically high-quality rubber powder without any PU binders and with constant properties. They are used for the acoustic separation (decoupling) of walls and ceilings. matteco acoustic bearings have proved themselves on or under load-bearing and non-load-bearing masonry. Key Benefits Thanks to their properties and product performance in solid and timber structures throughout all load ranges, matteco acoustic bearings offer an efficient and technically safe solution. Properties Improved decoupling of impact points 3 to 6 db in solid structures, up to 10 db in timber structures Improved airborne sound insulation Extremely high load capacity Fast compression recovery Wide temperature range Volume-elastic, resistant to deformation and damp-proof Bearing thicknesses 3, 5, 10 mm 100% recyclable No solvents No PU binders Additional features The matteco acoustic bearings are now available from our warehouse in a large range of standard thicknesses ranging from 80 mm to 250 mm in rolls up to 10 m. Reduced vertical transmission of sound with matteco acoustic bearings The matteco acoustic bearings reduce the transmission of sound across adjacent components. This effectively reduces the vertical transmission of sound between two floors. Structure-borne sound flow without matteco AL Structure-borne sound flow with matteco AL

AL Using matteco acoustic bearings matteco acoustic bearings are recommend for use in solid and timber structures if decoupling bearings are required under and on the wall. Solid structure Timber structure Selecting the right bearing thicknesses The wall including the plaster must not come into contact with the concrete ceiling. To ensure this, the bearing width must be selected at least 20 mm wider than the wall. Example: Wall thickness = 125 mm Bearing thickness = 145 mm The matteco acoustic bearings are wider and/or longer than the masonry work both lengthwise and at the front. The wall with the plaster and the concrete ceiling remain acoustically separated and structure-borne sound bridges are thus avoided with a high degree of certainty. Airborne sound Airborne sound is transferred in the form of sound waves. The sound waves are excited by movements, such as fans, ventilation machines or by people who are talking. Structure-borne sound Structure-borne sound is created by vibrating solid bodies or components and caused by hammering, tapping or drilling. Domestic equipment and appliances, such as heat pumps, washing machines and dryers create structure-borne noise, as do people walking on floors. This impact sound is transferred to the adjoining room via the structure-borne sound and emitted again as a secondary airborne sound in the adjoining rooms.
AL Instructions for installing matteco acoustic bearings in solid structures Installation on the wall 1 Create and align the ceiling formwork. Apply a smooth layer of mortar (CEM 300) 10-15 mm thick (h M ) perfectly horizontal and even. The upper edge of the smooth mortar layer is applied around the matteco bearing thickness (h), the ceiling plaster thickness (h P ) and the spring deflection of the ceiling formwork is created lower than the upper edge of the ceiling formwork. 2 Unroll the matteco acoustic bearings (1) on the hardened smooth layer of mortar. Tightly seal the corner and butt joints with adhesive tape. 3 After striping the formwork, remove any obstructive concrete incrustations and high spots. Separate the joint between the ceiling and wall plaster according to the relevant standard. Bearing width = Wall width Be careful handling formwork oil While spraying the ceiling formwork with formwork oil or other separating agents, the matteco acoustic decoupling bearings must be protected (e.g. by covered with a formboard). Installation under the wall 1 Unroll the matteco acoustic bearings (1) on the clean concrete ceiling. Tightly seal the corner and butt joints with adhesive cement tape. The bearing width must be selected so that it is at least 20 mm wider than the wall width. 2 Cleanly remove protruding mortar remains on the wall base (no mortar connection from the cement ceiling to the wall). Bearing width = Wall width+ 20 mm It must be ensured that there are no structure-borne noise bridges or tension between the masonry work and the floor slab or the ceiling due to rigid connections.
AL Instructions for installing matteco acoustic bearings in timber structures Installation on the wall 1 Fix the matteco acoustic bearings (1) on the timber beams using adhesive tape. 2 The wall planking must not come into contact with the floor or the ceiling. Bearing width = Wall width Installation under the wall 1 Unroll the matteco acoustic bearings (1) on the clean cement ceiling or the wood floor. The bearing width must be selected so that it is at least 20 mm wider than the wall width. 2 Also install the matteco acoustic bearings under the mounting brackets. Bearing width = Wall width+ 20 mm
TSD matteco Impact Sound Insulation Areas of application matteco impact sound insulation is the perfect insulating underlay below floating screeds and for dry screeds on timber structures. Unlike the sound insulation mats directly under the floor coverings, the disruptive impact sound is already insulated between the raw ceiling and screed. Its excellent properties include its very high compressive strength and elasticity as well as the easy and fast installation - to name just a few. It is suitable for use in the private and commercial sector as well as in industry, both in new buildings and also for restoring old buildings. The excellent recovery properties ensure permanent functionality. Key Benefits Thanks to its properties and product performance in solid and timber structures throughout all load ranges, matteco impact sound insulation offers an efficient and technically safe solution.
