Who we are We are SunCoke Energy Partners (SunCoke), majority owned by SunCoke Energy, the largest independent provider of coke to the integrated steel industry in North America. With the 2013 acquisition of Kanawha River Terminals (KRT), SunCoke has joined its considerable resources and more than 50 years of supply chain expertise with KRT s three decades of coal processing leadership to offer real value to producers and consumers of thermal and metallurgical coal. In the metallurgical coal market, we offer a higher-quality, more consistent alternative to barge-ocean vessel providers that often lack the storage capacity or blend consistency that customers require. We have state-of-art capabilities to provide precise blends ranging from low-volatile, medium-volatile and high-volatile coking coals, providing reliable supply that consistently meets the most exacting specifications. In the thermal coal market, our presence in the heart of central Appalachia and the Ohio River Basin ideally positions us to be a valued provider both to coal producers and the power plants they serve. Our blending technology and expertise can be major value drivers for coal-burning power plants looking for new solutions to address increasingly stringent environmental regulations and competitive electricity markets. For producers of coal for export, our highcapacity terminals offer maximum flexibility for barge, truck and rail receiving and transloading, and our connections to both the Norfolk Southern and CSX rail networks provide direct and efficient access to key ports on the East Coast, Gulf Coast and Great Lakes. 2
