THE ZERO ENERGY POOL SOLAR ELECTRICITY + POOL HEATING NATIONAL

ONE FOOTPRINT, TWO SOLUTIONS A HYBRID PANEL THAT SIMULTANEOUSLY PRODUCES ELECTRICITY AND HEATING FOR YOUR SWIMMING POOL The electricity generated by the high efficiency photovoltaic (PV) cells can cover all the electricity needs of your swimming pool (in particular, the pool equipment and in some cases, the heat pump). Any surplus electricity can be self-consumed in your home, or returned into the grid for a feed-in tariff or a net-metering program. The internal heat exchanger allows direct connection to your pools water circuit. As the pool water flows through the heat exchanger, the water is heated whilst simultaneously cooling the panel, increasing the efficiency of the PV electrical generation. THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE REDUCE YOUR ONGOING POOL HEATING COSTS TO ZERO ENHANCED PERFORMANCE 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION EUROPEAN ENGINEERING RETURN ON INVESTMENT DualSun s unique design increases electrical output Self-sustaining energy and heating production A range of solutions to maximise the use of your system Quality French design and manufacturing A responsible investment that pays for itself

HOW DOES DUALSUN WORK? A TWO-IN-ONE SOLAR SOLUTION ELECTRICITY The conversion of light into electricity is called the photovoltaic effect. Solar panels convert energy from sunlight into direct current (DC) electrical energy, which is then changed into alternating current (AC) for your home s electrical consumption. Excess energy can be fed into a battery storage system for later use, or returned to the grid for a feed-in tariff or a net-metering program. WATER As pool water is circulated through the heat exchanger integrated into the underside of the photovoltaic surface, it absorbs the surplus energy created by the sunlight and photovoltaic effect. As a result, the water is heated and returned to the pool whilst simultaneously cooling the panel and allowing the PV electrical generation to be maintained at peak performance.

ENHANCED PERFORMANCE THE EVOLUTION OF SOLAR POWER DualSun s hybrid solar PV thermal technology is based on two principles: 1. Standard PV panels generate much more heat (82.8%) than electricity (17.2%) when exposed to the sun. 2. The efficiency of PV panels decreases as the surface temperature increases. The innovative DualSun hybrid solar panel utilises the excess heat from the PV cells, transferring it to the heat exchanger to produce heated water. In the process, the water circulation cools the PV cells, increasing efficiency by up to 20%. Therefore, a DualSun installation can utilise up to 4 times more energy than a standard photovoltaic installation. A SOLAR PANEL SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR POOLS INNOVATIVE HEAT EXCHANGER Completely integrated into the panel, allowing for excellent heat transfer between the photovoltaic surface and the water flow. Standard photovoltaic production DualSun photovoltaic gain DualSun thermal production ULTRA THIN DESIGN Standard dimensions of a photovoltaic panel (156mm cell, 60 cells). HIGH PERFORMANCE PHOTOVOLTAICS High efficiency monocrystalline cells cooled by water circulation.

100% RENEWABLE ENERGY THE ZERO ENERGY POOL There s no doubt that your pool contributes a significant amount towards your electricity bill during swimming season. Whilst this may pose economic challenges to the average pool owner, the increasing impact on the environment s natural resources has long lasting and far reaching effects. Heatseeker DualSun provides a powerful solution for the swimming pool and spa industry, and more importantly for pool owners. The simultaneous generation of electricity and heated water allows the ongoing energy consumption of a pool to be neutralised, and avoid any government legislation that could negatively impact the industry. Convert your investment into the zero energy pool, freeing yourself from the electricity companies by creating your own clean, reliable and 100% renewable energy. STC SOLAR REBATE The Australian Government Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme creates a financial incentive for individuals and small businesses to install renewable energy systems such as DualSun. It does this through the creation of small-scale technology certificates (STCs). STCs are provided up front for the systems expected power generation over a 15 year period or, from 2017, from the installation year until 2030 when the scheme ends. Generally, homeowners who purchase a DualSun system assign the right to create their certificates to a supplier/installer in return for a lower purchase price. The number of STCs that can be created per system is based on its geographical location, installation date, and the amount of electricity that is generated or displaced by the system. As a guide, one STC is equal to one megawatt hour of eligible renewable electricity. * Commercial installations may be entitled to Large-scale generation certificates based on the amount of eligible renewable electricity they produce. For further information, please speak to your Supreme Heating representative.

PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION Once your Heatseeker DualSun panels have collected energy from the sun, that energy needs to be converted from DC electricity to AC electricity for daily use in your home. DualSun is compatible with a range of options to help you achieve this. The correct option for you will depend on your individual needs, and will be discussed with you at time of consultation. STRING INVERTERS String inverters work by collecting the energy generated by your solar panels and converting the DC electricity to AC electricity through a central location. Whilst string inverters are the most inexpensive option, they only perform as well as the lowest-performing panel. MICRO INVERTERS Micro inverters are attached to each individual solar panel and convert the DC electricity to AC electricity at the source of electrical generation, allowing each panel to perform to maximum capacity. POWER OPTIMISERS Power optimisers are attached to each panel where the electrical production is maximised and then sent onto a centralised string inverter. Power optimisers ensure that the energy output of each individual panel is utilised. MONITOR YOUR PERFORMANCE With DualSun, you can monitor your energy production levels as well as the performance and health of your system from an easy to access online interface. Generate reports, share your data and track the performance of your investment over time. QUALITY EUROPEAN ENGINEERING An investment in DualSun is an investment in quality. With over 700 successful installs since the company s inception, DualSun has experienced a growth of 573% between 2013 and 2016 with over 10,000m 2 worth of panels being sold. Created in 2010 by two engineers from one of France s top engineering schools, Ecole Centrale Paris, the DualSun team is now based in Marseille where the sun reigns supreme. Composed of young and dynamic engineers and designers with a passion for solar energy and a devotion to deliver the best hybrid solar solution for a transitioning energy world, the DualSun team is supported by national and regional governments as well as numerous prestigious institutions. With a no-compromise approach to quality, all manufacturing is performed exclusively in France by trusted suppliers. With offices Australia-wide, Supreme Heating is DualSun s exclusive distributor in the Australasian region.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT The Heatseeker DualSun system not only allows you to sleep easy at night knowing you re making the responsible choice when it comes to powering your pool, it also provides an excellent return on your investment through tremendous savings in energy costs of up to $66,560 over the course of 20 years. DUALSUN ENERGY PRODUCTION Energy production over 20 years Heated Pool Water - 184.5 MWh Electricity - 151.1 MWh Total: 335.6 MWh over 20 years The equivalent of 30.13 tons CO2 over 20 years. The equivalent of planting 271 trees over 20 years. Turn your investment into the zero energy pool with Heatseeker DualSun DualSun average daily production 20.7kWh/day Average swimming pool requirements (pumps, lighting, sanitation) approx 10kWh/day The equivalent of driving 13,555km/year in car.
