THE HIGH PERFORMING, FLEXIBLE CARTONER The A83 Series is the most suitable range of cartoners to meet these requirements. With the same machine frame the A83 is available in two versions, A83E, output of 140 cartons/minute and A83EH, output of 160 cartons/minute. Both versions have no limitation on the A+B carton dimensions. ERGONOMICS AND MACHINE DESIGN Compact balcony construction and clean design, ensuring greater accessibility, ease-of-use, complete view of all parts and enabling installation in a small production space. The guarding concept makes the machine totally accessible to the operator and allows a very quick change over. The loading position of materials such as cartons, leaflets, booklets and blisters has been especially conceived to facilitate the working conditions of the operator.

A83E/EH 1 2 3 1 BLISTER MAGAZINE AND TRANSPORT The blister magazine designed by IMA, with adjustable height in the lower part, minimises blister free fall both at the top of the magazine and during positioning in the bucket of the cartoner. The blister transport system is expressly designed to take into account different blister stack heights and also whatever blister shape and dimensions. 2 LEAFLET FOLDING UNIT The leaflet folding unit is completely visible and easy to clean in case of jam All kind of GUK models can be fitted (e.g. prefolded magazine, magazine up to 600 mm leaflet from reel etc.). 3 CARTON MAGAZINE 5 A83E/EH carton magazine, one of the largest magazines in its speed range (2 m. long) can handle up to 1500 pre-folded cartons and is designed to prevent dust falling on mechanical machine parts and for easy operator access. A wide range of minimum and maximum carton dimensions can be run on A83E/EH. 4 CARTON PICK-UP OPENING AND TRANSPORT The withdrawal, opening and positioning of the carton are patented by IMA. This system also allows for the use of cartons made of recycled materials. Only a few parts are involved in the changeover. Carton dust does not fall on any mechanical machine parts. PRODUCT AND LEAFLET INSERTION Positive introduction of blister and leaflet in to the carton thank to the pre-break blade on the pushing device which allows a smooth introduction of the leaflet inside the carton. 6 CODING AND CLOSING AREA The coding stations are located in an area easily accessible to the operator. Codes can be applied by embossing, ink-jet or laser. All the common closure types can be implemented. Customized solutions are available on demand. Gluing system for tamper evident solution can also installed. OPERATOR INTERFACE A Computer touch screen, with colour monitor and graphical representation, enables easy and intuitive management of the machine s production and status. Production statistics, trouble shooting, including changeover instructions, maintenance and manuals can also be obtained through the HMI screen. Production data can be shown according to Din 8743. The computerised system manages the bar code reader, OCV, and OCR which are completely integrated into the single HMI.

Extremely quiet running due to blister stack and carton transport by means of synchronised belts.
