The Mediterranean Youth for Water Network (MedYWat) Empowering - Connecting - Change-Making MedYWat was launched at the CMI Youth Innovating with Wastewater for a Sustainable Mediterranean youth workshop (World Water Day on March 21-22 2017 in Marseille, France). The network counts over 80 young Mediterranean water researchers, entrepreneurs and activists working on water challenges in the region. MedYWat s goal: to give more voice to Mediterranean youth on the regional and global water agenda, while providing capacity-building and knowledge sharing opportunities and engaging with other youth water networks. The Role of CMI o MedYWat convenes on a CMI-managed virtual platform (World Bank Collaboration 4 Development) and through webinars and face-to-face events organized by CMI. o CMI provides technical support and facilitation to MedYWat and sponsors MedYWat representatives participation at key regional and global water events while engaging CMI partners to interact with MedYWat. Every year, CMI further expands MedYWat s membership through the Mediterranean Water Heroes Contest and its main water and youth event organized around the United Nations World Water Day.

The Mediterranean Youth for Water Network (MedYWat) Empowering - Connecting - Change-Making Membership: MedYWat counts members from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Malta, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Yemen and Syria (15 countries). Members may be working for public institutions, research institutes, start-ups and companies, NGOs, or as freelancers. The ages are not limit once the heart is full of challenges.
