TRIM E715 TRIM E715 is a high quality, very stable formula that combines long operational life with consistent performance. Compatible with aluminium alloys, steel alloys, cast iron and yellow metals, versatile E715 has a broad application in machining and grinding a wide range of materials. E715 has high levels of both chemical and mechanical lubricity, to handle the medium- to high-duty machining and grinding. An extremely fine soluble oil emulsion, E715 reduces carryoff for lower total operating costs. As it is chlorineand formaldahyde biocide donor-free, it is particularly well suited for machining aerospace aluminium alloys. TRIM C272 Hard-working, stable TRIM C272 synthetic provides long operational life and consistent performance. Operating at very high fluid pressures and volumes with little or no foam, TRIM C272 is ideally suited to highvolume and high-pressure applications. C272 has the superior cooling and chip settling characteristics of a premium synthetic product with the improved residues and mechanical lubricity of a semisynthetic. Containing an extremely effective and proprietary nonchlorine, nonsulphur extreme-pressure additive, C272 realizes increased tool life and improved surface finishes. C272 is an excellent choice for machining and grinding both nickel alloy and steel. Case Study TRIM C272 OPERATION: Viper Grinding APPLICATION: A manufacturer of aerospace turbine blades had been experiencing poor coolant filtration, which caused foaming and burning on parts. A 10-micron filter cartridge had been used but required changing daily; frustrated with the excessive filter use, it was removed altogether. The lack of filter lead to other production problems, mainly dirty coolant being offered at the point-of-cut. Finally, they switched to C272 with notable results.
