Background Enhancing UNDP - strengthening capacities for effective messaging and reporting of development results; UNDP recognizes the need to further improve coordination of its development programming and enhance the communication of its development results. To ensure that UNDP Liberia s development results are communicated within the organization and to the external publics, it is imperative the
capacity of its Communication Staff is enhanced to effectively support communication for development through the promotion of professionalism. A good video collection is one of the key variables for ensuring high quality publications. Consequently, the Communications team will need to acquire the requisite skills in video production and editing, as well as improve social media skills. A professional Trainer is to be commissioned to conduct hands-on training for UNDP Communication Staff in the areas specified to support UNDP information/messages. 2. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct a one and half- months hands -on practical video editing and social media skills training of UNDP Communication Staff keeping in mind that quality is important. Prepare a training Plan with deliverables Produce a step by step guideline/manual to help staff as refresher whenever needed Training must take into consideration options for video softwares; uploading and downloading, converting to you-tube version; utilizing skills on social media Consultant will be responsible to provide all necessary materials for the training but will request any technical support needed from UNDP/ IT Assist when needed and becomes imperative to produce a good 10-minute video documentary of key UNDP programmatic activities Provide training on improving Social media skills of Communication staff Consultant will be required to use own equipment and be capable of delivering high quality/resolution of raw and finished products Consultant will be required to assist with installation where necessary, of Communication software being procured for Communication Unit. 3. Management Arrangement: UNDP/C4de will where needed, provide financial support to training and Communication team for any field activities UNDP will also facilitate any transport arrangement as well as venue for training where necessary Communication Staff will work with Consultant on scheduled dates for training given the Unit s workload 4. Timing and Duration Start date will depend on signing of the contract and end date will be determined based on scheduled timelines for training which is to be arranged with Communication Staff. However, the schedule must be within a one and half month period. 5. Education: High School Certificate with Training Certificate(s) in the required field College degree is an added advantage; 6. Experience, Competencies & Skills: Minimum 5 years of prior experience in conducting similar projects/activities. Candidate must be a Video Editor Consultant must have a minimum of prior 3 years training experience Consultant must have the ability to deliver in a timely manner. 7. Language Requirement: Fluency in written and spoken English. 8. DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED WHEN SUBMITTING THE PROPOSALS. 9. FINANCIAL PROPOSAL The financial proposal shall specify a daily fee. Payments will be made to the Individual Consultant based on specific and measurable deliverables as specified in the TOR upon completion of all deliverables.
