BACKGROUND INFORMATION OF THE PROJECT The Village Khandipada (Umberwangan) is 15 K.M. away from Block place Jawhar situated in hilly area and covered by dense forest. The village having 350 population and 44 hamlets. All community is belongs to scheduled tribes. Rarely are reaches there govt. facilities. Geographically it is a hilly and thick forest area. This village still wear an emaciated look with poverty with large on the faces of these tribal. It is all due to their lack of awareness and information besides the indifference and antipathy of the local authorities. Insufficient awareness and lack of organised efforts appear to be the root causes of the major problems of Socio-economic backwardness, health hazards. The migration is a major problem of this village. There is no employment available for landless labour after rainy season every year the tribal migrates toward urban area for earning a more money its lead to many problems i.e. poor health situation of women & child, low enrolment of school, Lack of modern agriculture information as tribal is using traditional inputs in farming so obtained very low income. Women are facing big problem of water that wake up early in the morning and spent 1 to 2 hour for fetch water from ½ to 1 k.m. IV. PROJECT OBJECTIVES i. To providing clean and safe drinking water to all villages, ii. iii. iv.
