General Safety Rules WARNING! Read all instructions Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in serious injury. The term Ramp in all of the warnings listed below refers to your Aluminum Curb Ramp. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Area safety a. Make sure the area in which the Ramp is used is clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. b. Keep children and bystanders away while using the Ramp. Distractions can cause you to lose control. Personal safety a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using the Ramp. Do not use the Ramp while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while using the Ramp may result in serious personal injury. b. Use safety equipment. Wear ANSIapproved safety impact eye goggles and heavy duty work gloves when setting up or taking down the Ramp to avoid eye injury and/or injury from Page 2

4. sharp edges. Safety equipment such as non-skid safety shoes will reduce personal injuries. c. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the Ramp in unexpected situations. d. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts. Ramp use and care a. Do not force the Ramp. Use the correct Ramp for your application. The correct Ramp will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b. Store the Ramp out of reach of children and do not allow people unfamiliar with the Ramp or these instructions to use the Ramp. Ramps are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. c. Maintain the Ramp. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the Ramp s operation. If damaged, have the Ramp repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained equipment. d. Use this Ramp in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for this particular type of product, taking into account the area conditions and the task to be performed. Have this Ramp serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure the safety of the Ramp is maintained. Specific Safety Rules Maintain labels and nameplates on the Ramp. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement. This Ramp has a maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds. Do not exceed the 600 pound capacity. Beware of dynamic loading! Dropping or bouncing a load may briefly create excess load, causing personal injury and/or product failure. Inspect before use, including all Rivets in the Ramp. Do not use if damaged. Both ends of Ramp must rest flat on a solid, level surface able to support the Ramp and load. Make sure to clean the Ramp thoroughly before each use. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children. Use this Ramp on as low an incline as possible (no more than 12 high or no more than a 20 angle). Do not use this Ramp to transport ATV s, motorcycles, or any other type of vehicle. Do not use as a bicycle or skateboard Ramp. The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in Page 3

this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. Save these instructions. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible. OPERATING Instructions Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product. To prevent serious injury from accidental operation: Remove any load from the Ramp before setting up or taking down the unit. Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual. 1. WARNING! Do not exceed this Ramp s maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds. 2. WARNING! All persons not involved in setting up, using, and taking down the Ramp must stand clear of the unit. 3. WARNING! Before attempting to use the Ramp, make sure the unit is completely open, both sides are laying flat on the curb and ground surfaces, and the Lip of the Ramp is firmly secured onto the curb. 4. 5. 6. To set up the Ramp, simply position the Ramp with its Lip onto the curb. Then unfold the Ramp, making sure the Lip is firmly secured onto the curb. (See Figure A, next page.) Make sure no persons or pets are near or underneath the Ramp. Have an assistant monitor the Ramp Lip to make sure no slippage occurs on the curb as you move the load onto the curb. After use, the Ramp can be folded up and easily transported using the Page 4

If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. CURB Inspection, Maintenance, and Cleaning HANDLE (5) FIGURE B 1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Ramp. Check misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken or bent parts, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. 2. BEFORE EACH USE, make sure any dirt, debris, oil, grease, etc. are cleaned off the Ramp. Clean the Ramp with a clean, moist cloth. Do not use solvents. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY Maintenance And Servicing Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician. To prevent serious injury from accidental operation: Remove any load from the unit before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures. The manufacturer and/or distributor has provided the parts list and assembly diagram in this manual as a reference tool only. Neither the manufacturer or distributor makes any representation or warranty of any kind to the buyer that he or she is qualified to make any repairs to the product, or that he or she is qualified to replace any parts of the product. In fact, the manufacturer and/or distributor expressly states that all repairs and parts replacements should be undertaken by certified and licensed technicians, and not by the buyer. The buyer assumes all risk and liability arising out of his or her repairs to the original product or replacement parts thereto, or arising out of his or her installation of replacement parts thereto. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness. To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
