Shower and tub-shower walls have four internal layers of reinforcement to ensure each product stands up to the rigors of shipping, installation and usage over time: 1 2 3 4 1 Surface layer is a premium-grade, ultra-glossy gelcoat with a bright Aquatic white fi nish the brightest, whitest and glossiest available. 2 Resin binds together thousands of small strands of fi berglass to provide structure and rigidity. Our formula is higher in glass content than many of our competitors, yielding a stronger product. 3 Corrugated reinforcement is smooth-faced on both sides to ensure a uniform, highstrength bond at all contact points on shower and tub-shower walls, including corners and curved areas. This layer forms a rigid core. 4 A second coat of the fi berglass/resin mixture is layered on top of the reinforcement, sandwiching the core between two layers of lamination. As the formula cures, the lamination and reinforcement harden and solidify. Glass and resin that collect at the perforations form rivet-like unions that lock the reinforcement into place and build even more structure and strength. On cover:1483dts 2

BATHTUBS We built a better bathtub from the bottom up with a pre-leveled base system* and internal layers of reinforcement. The superior construction of DuraCore bathtubs is strengthened by the fl exibility of a wide array of size, style, hydrotherapy and color options. Flexibility in installation With an abundance of designs available, the type of bathtub you choose depends on your space and decorating scheme: Skirted tubs have one finished side and are designed for installation in a recess or alcove. The visible finished side, also called a skirt or an apron, can be fl at or bowed. Corner tubs have triangular-shaped designs that fi t into the nook of a room. These units are often configured for two-person bathing. Drop-in tubs have no fi nished sides and are usually installed within a constructed deck and surround. A self-rimming edge can be seen above the mounting surface. Undermount units are similar to a drop-in style and are equally versatile. Similar to an undermount sink, the bath is installed beneath a cutout in the mounting surface, and there is no visible edge. Soothing powers of hydrotherapy DuraCore bathtubs are not only built to last, but they re also engineered to soothe. Hydrotherapy systems are available on many models to suit most budgets.
