2 THE LEAGUE Mission The Reading Derby Girls (RDG) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for women to challenge themselves physically through the sisterhood of roller derby while supporting their community. The members of RDG are strong and motivated women, who train hard, respect their teammates and love the sport of Roller Derby. Their aggressive skaters work to increase power through discipline, hard work, and focus. History Reading Derby Girls began out of a love for the game. The intense sport attracted the eyes of Skateaway owner, Holly Jester in 2011, who then made the dream of owning a roller derby team a reality. In less than a year, a team was formed and the game was being played with an average of 400 fans attending the home games. In the following years, the team grew to even bigger heights with new skaters, support staff, and the excitement of the sport from the public. Why Support RDG? With the support of sponsors, the Reading Derby Girls are able to continue their goals as a growing competitive athletic organization. Operational costs are covered by league members through dues and fundraising events, while each skater pays and provides their own equipment. Sponsors will give RDG the help it needs to grow to it s fullest potential by helping the organization reach it s goals each season. In exchange for your support, there are a number of possibilities available through RDG to gain exposure for your business with a new audience roller derby fans. Recognition can come in many forms through a sponsorship with RDG, and we hope that you will see the value in our organization as we see in our local businesses and community. Questions? A single roller derby dream grew into a fast-paced sports team with a way to give-back through volunteer efforts, donations, and a genuine involvement with organizations. The team is comprised of women from all walks of life, and RDG gives them the opportunity to not only skate with their whole heart, but to make a difference in their community.

4 THE AGREEMENT 1. This agreement indicates firm commitment (noncancelable) of the sponsorship for the Reading Derby Girls bouting season, in accordance with the corresponding sponsorship registration forms. All signed agreements are binding. 2. Sponsor agrees that the activities contemplated by this agreement have a specific and limited scope and are an exchange of goods. Nothing in this Agreement should be construed to imply or convey the Reading Derby Girls approval, endorsement, certification, acceptance, or referral of any Sponsor product or service. No materials developed or intended for use in connection with the sponsorship activities will be distributed or otherwise used prior to the Reading Derby Girls advance review and approval. According to the specified sponsorship, the Reading Derby Girls will provide appropriate acknowledgment and recognition of the Sponsor as agreed upon in the sponsor registration, sponsorship package and/or sponsorship ala carte options sheet. All advertising must comply with the Reading Derby Girls advertising, as determined by the Reading Derby Girls. 3. Sponsor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Reading Derby Girls, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and players from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, judgments, or settlements, including reasonable attorneys fees, costs, and other expenses, incurred in any way in connection with Sponsor s acts, omissions, or breach of contract. 4. Sponsor acknowledges and agrees that the Reading Derby Girls may terminate the Agreement at any time, for any reason in its sole discretion. Upon termination by the Reading Derby Girls of the Agreement, the Reading Derby Girls shall refund any sponsorship fees received by the Reading Derby Girls prior to termination. 5. The Reading Derby Girls and/or sponsor/advertiser are liable should one or the other default. Any third party agency signing on behalf of the sponsor/ advertiser will be held responsible for the fulfillment of this non-cancelable contract. 6. Any claim or dispute arising under this agreement shall be adjudicated exclusively under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the courts of Pennsylvania without regard to conflict of laws principles. Each party hereby submits and waives all objection to personal jurisdiction in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 7. This contract contains all terms of the agreement and no verbal commitments will be of any force or effect. The Reading Derby Girls liability for errors in advertising is expressly limited to the value of the ad space occupied by such error. No adjustment is applicable to any free sponsorship or advertisement. RDG is not obligated to proof ad materials provided by the sponsor prior to printing, or to review printed materials with the sponsor prior to distribution. Accuracy of advertisement produced by RDG is the responsibility of the Sponsor. Reproduction quality of photographs or artwork provided cannot be guaranteed. Full payment is due upon receipt. If legal action is required to enforce the terms of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to attorney s fees in addition to any other relief to which the prevailing is entitled. USE OF THE RDG LOGO(S) Sponsors are prohibited from using the Reading Derby Girls (RDG) logo(s) without prior written approval by the executive committee President of RDG.
