3 Introduction Land & Labour Conference & Exhibition (LLCE) 2017 Abuja, Nigeria is to be the first of what will become an annual go to conference and exhibition on Agriculture in Africa. AIP BOESS as founders of LLCE believe that Africa, this Garden of Eden will one day become an important food basket of the world simply because of what we have on our Land and with our People (Labour). We will use the platform of the LLCE to establish the facts of our potential, the current success stories, how Agriculture can create a new vision and the tools to get us there. The LLCE will be a thinkers planet of Africa s Agriculture possibilities, how global best practice can be deployed, policy, challenges and successes. Participants will hear from and network with leading global analysts, players and solutions. Participants will also hear of the opportunities and solutions to Africa s Agriculture space. Focused on Africa, through the LLCE you will get to deepen your understanding of how Africa engages with the world on Agriculture. This will include; how Africa is currently farming, trade, processing and value add, plant & machinery. LLCE will offer an insight into government policies on Agriculture and Employment within the sector. This 1st LLCE will introduce the concept of Africa s Economic Corridor focusing on investment and trade. Over two incredible days, we will hear from an impressive roaster of Key Note speakers including the likes of Nigeria s former President and one of Africa s Premier Farmers, Olusegun Obasanjo, Head of Africa Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina, Nigerian Diplomat, Broadcaster, Academic and Public Policy Thinker, Dr. Christopher Kolade, Eleni Gabre-Madhin Founder of Ethopia Commodity Exchange, Carol Realini, Executive Chairman of Obopay the California based mobile banking innovator, Robert H Bates is Eaton Professor of the Science of Government at Harvard University who will present on Public Policy on Agriculture in Africa, Aboubaker Omar Hadi, Chairman of the Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority Africa s largest Free Trade Zone amongst others
