2 INTRODUCTION Africa has been using rigid and archaic techniques in the agricultural sector ever since compared to other continents. This has drastically decreased the production throughout the years and has predominantly contributed to hunger in Africa, Malnutrition and underfed population. The AAC 2018 aims at addressing this problem by putting agricultural key leaders together with small rural farmers from different parts of Africa to actually define a positive strategy to collaborate in terms of new technology, access to funding and exchange of experience. Africa is one of the fastest growing economies on the globe and the last frontier for any agribusiness due to its excellent climate and fertile soil. 2

MISSION The primary mission of the African Agricultural Conference 2018 is to give a chance to rural farmers enclaved in their little villages across Africa to present their products and to mingle with industrial farmers so that they can collaborate together to move from an archaic agricultural sector using rudiment instruments to using modern equipment and new technology to boost their production. 3

OBJECTIVES The main objectives of the conference are: - To promote African rural farmers in terms of exposure - To facilitate collaboration between African rural farmers with industrial farmers - To provide technical assistance to farmers - To build strong partnership and exchange of experience amongst farmers - To move from a subsistence agricultural sector in Africa to a modern industry - To promote south-south collaboration - To provide Africa solutions to African agricultural problems - To give an opportunity to farmers to expose their products and their crops - To present agricultural equipment companies to delegates - To ensure food security through bilateral trade within the African continent 4
