Brief History In 1973, a group of selected farmers from 41

supply and poor quality of feeds for their livestock projects.

3 Brief History In 1973, a group of selected farmers from 41 villages in Cavite, was trained for livestock and poultry production in IIRR s People School. After the training, these Farmer Scholars experienced low supply and poor quality of feeds for their livestock projects. If feeds were available, the cost was prohibitive and limited in access to small livestock farmers.

4 Cont. -HISTORY Recognizing the urgency of this situation and sensing the need for high quality feeds at reasonable cost for the farmers, the tri sectoral body; 1.) International Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) 2.) Phil. Rural Life Center (PRLC) 3.) Cavite Inter-Agency Conference (CIAC) composed of 22 representatives from various government, religious and private sector put their act together with the Barangay Scholars to form the beginning of CAVITE FARMERS FEEDMILLING AND MARKETING COOPERATIVE (CAFFMACO)

The Forming Stage When Caffmaco started using the PRLC feedmill, there were only 2 pcs. of machinery. A grinder and a prefabricated mixer with 250 kgs.

6 The Forming Stage When Caffmaco started using the PRLC feedmill, there were only 2 pcs. of machinery. A grinder and a prefabricated mixer with 250 kgs./hr, using shovel to mix feeds on the floor. With the help of a member, Caffmaco was able to buy a second hand feed mixer worth P3, with a capacity of 500 kgs/ hr.
