Since 2007, has been part of Sumitomo Chemical Group More recently it has become an European based technology research centre for the group. 5 Lateral flow test and absorbent tags [1] (Accessed 17/03/17) Lateral flow tests are simple diagnostic devices. Most often for qualitative visual measurements-i.e. to detect the presence of an analyte. For improved sensitivity or quantitative measurements, lab based readers can be used but are often expensive and not portable. Lateral flow tests generally regarded as low spec, low cost platform.
