What is a Stem Cell? Stem cells are at this moment the most powerful discovery and weapon of modern medicine, that can fight many diseases, stop their progression, give you strength, power, longevity and highest level of health. Outstanding performance and capabilities of these cells can make your immune system and metabolic state stable and make you resistant to pathological agents from the environment that would in combination with stress make your body susceptible to many diseases. We have the possibility, by implementing our knowledge and experience, to make your organism strong and safe from all causes of diseases and ageing, which are always part of our turbulent contemporaneity. Stem cells are already part of the human repair system naturally. Once they're enriched and their number enlarged during the procedure they improve both symptoms of the disease and overall health. Stem cells have a unique capability to find the damaged area inside the organism and repair it. Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 1

Treatment at Swiss Medica Stem Cells are the only cells of a human organism that have the ability to differentiate into different cell, tissue cells (tissue-specific cells). Namely, from each parent cell, it is possible through laboratory methods of activation, by adding specific growth factors, reprogramming, cultivating cell culture, on various media, and can be grouped into more specialized cells. Modern medicine today uses this ability of the parent cells to achieve reparation of tissues and organs, as part of many degenerative systemic diseases. Reparation and compensation of damaged tissue, and the re-establishment of cell-mediated cellular and novel regions, and cells from the environment, it is possible to establish a re-function of the organ. The greatest damage will be reduced to a minimum, thereby reducing the symptoms of the disease. Our body has two depos of stem cells: Autologous cells (isolated from the owner organism = Adult Stem Cells) Bone marrow Adipose tissue stem cells (lipid cells) Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 2

Autologous Stem Cells Autologous stem cells are adult stem cells extracted from the patient s own body (harvested from lower abdominal fat tissue). At Swiss Medica clinic, extraction of the stem cells is done under local anesthesia combined with intravenous sedation, so our patients avoid all risks that are associated with general anesthesia and intubation. With modern, specialized equipment used by the experienced stem cells specialist team, these procedures are technically easy to perform: Iliac bone is only 1-2 cm under the skin so by using clear anatomical orienteers, with no complications, needle aspiration of bone marrow is done in approximately 15 minutes. Adipose tissue from the lower abdominal area is extracted through the simple process of mini-liposuction. Immediately after harvesting of the stem cells, the patient is awake, has breakfast and is being monitored in a procedure room. Since we use only intravenous sedation, there is no post anesthesia drowsiness. As the procedure is done using only a needle, trauma to the surrounding tissue is minimal. The preparation of patient s stem cells is done under strictly controlled laboratory conditions. After a couple of hours, procedure of stem cell preparation is done and infusion with patient s stem cells is ready for administration. Since these stem cells are cells from the patient s own body, there are no risks of infections, allergic or oncologic reactions. Bone Marrow Bone marrow stem cells are the first stem cells used in the medicine. Aspiration of the bone marrow is a short procedure, after local anesthesia it is completely painless for the patient. Besides stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can also be gained from the same content through the aspiration, which means that this procedure has multiple utilities. Two types of stem cells are being separated from the bone marrow: hematopoetic and stromal (mesenchymal) stem cells. All these stem cells are multipotent, which means that they can be further divided and differentiated into more types of specialised stem cells, but not into all of them. Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 3

Mesenchymal bone marrow stem cells can be differentiated into cartilage cells (chondrocytes), bone tissue cells (osteocytes) and adipose tissue cells (adipocytes). Each one of these cell types has a certain function and belongs to corresponding tissue. Hematopoetic bone marrow stem cells (HSCs) have numerous special characteristics, among which the capability to start self-renewal (to remain stem cells after the division), or to differentiate into mature blood cells. Our organism needs hundreds of millions of new blood cells per day, and their source is the hematopoetic stem cells. Actual clinical studies show that HSCs have much bigger capacity for differentiation that was previously thought. They can be differentiated not only into blood cells but also into muscle cells (skeletal muscles and heart muscle cells), brain cells, liver, skin, lungs, kidney, intestinal and pancreas cells. Adipose Tissue The process of obtaining autologous adipose tissue cells starts with a simple liposuction procedure. Fat tissue is collected from an abdominal area while the patient is soundly asleep under general anesthesia. After fat tissue is collected, mesenchymal stromal fraction cells, including stem cells are extracted from adipose tissue. These cells (150 million of them) are mixed with Platelet enriched plasma (PRP) extracted from patient s venous blood and enriched with active cell s factors (interleukins, cytokines, growth factors and etc.). Stem cells are then activated in our Photo activation unit which stimulates the release of growth factors from PRP and activates dormant stem cells. Activated stem cells are then delivered throughout the patient's bloodstream via IV infusion. The whole process is done in sterile condition under constant medical observation with permanent monitoring of the vital functions. The complete procedure lasts for about six hours. Liposuction for the purpose of stem cell harvest is performed by a medical team using reliable, highperformance suction pumps and a liposuction cannula inserted in the abdominal area of the patient s body. 6 Enhancement Procedures Plasmapheresis Plasmapheresis is widely used as a first step in the treatment of many diseases. It enhances the efficiency of further treatment and helps natural regenerative processes in organism. Plasmapheresis is a blood filtering treatment. The term encompasses is a broad range of procedures in which extracorporeal separation of blood components results in a filtered plasma product. The filtering of plasma from whole blood can be accomplished via centrifugation or the use of semipermeable membranes - Plasmapheresis device, so the liquid in the blood (plasma) is separated from the cells. Macromolecules, such as immune complexes which actually cause the inflammation, are halted on membrane/filter, and been removed from the blood stream. Plasmapheresis normalizes appetite, sleeping, energizes the body. It enhances sensitivity to medication and significantly decreases the doses of medical agent (patients could benefit from much smaller doses of medication). The benefits of plasmapheresis Athletes use this method to recover after intensive use of steroids. It reduces blood viscosity and the risk of clot formation, preventing thrombosis. It improves the blood flow to organs and tissues, restores the functions of the affected organs. It reduces the size of atherosclerotic plaques and restores blood flow in the blood vessels, eliminates the risk of lower limb amputation. Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 5

Xenon Gas Therapy Xenon gas is full of positive pharmacological properties. This inert gas is often used as either an anesthetic or for therapeutic purposes. Depression, stress, headaches and chronic exhaustion syndrome all respond very well to treatment with this gas. Its positive effects are also manifested on central nervous system, which is beneficial for a variety of patients suffering from different conditions, especially because the gas has neuroprotective properties and it speeds up nerve cell regeneration. Therefore, those who are diagnosed with a brain disease can find help in Xenon therapy. It is also used for purposes of regenerative and rehabilitation therapy and it increases working capacity of a person. This therapy is absolutely safe, ecologically clean, harmless, non-toxic and it doesn t cause any side effects. It is inside human body from 3-4 minutes, after which it leaves the lungs. Xenon gas doesn t cause allergies, doesn t affect immune system, blood coagulation or neuroendocrinal status. It is not cancerogenic or cardiodepressant. Xenon therapy that we suggest, when compared to other methods, enables fast accomplishment of firm therapeutical effect in the following fields: decreasing painful syndromes and pain itself as a part of the recovering process and rehabilitation of the body after illness as a part of the recovering process and rehabilitation after mental or physical efforts good tool for antistress eases depression normalizes sleeping cycles working abilities are improved rehabilitation and recovery of organism after illness it gives great results in combination with stem cell therapy for neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer s disease, ALS etc). OxyVen Therapy OxyVen is a device used for more direct - intravenous intake of oxygen. Insufficient amount of OXYGEN is detrimental to white blood cells (leukocytes) which eliminate bacteria, viruses, tumor cells, toxins. In order to protect your body and completely regenerate it, you require time and treatment, and the healthiest and most natural way is O2-oxygen.OXYVEN normalizes the functioning of brain, liver, lungs and kidneys. Oxygen enters the blood directly through the intravenous application. OXYVEN reduces neurological, psychosomatic, muscle and bone disorders (pain, spasms, nervousness, heavy breathing ) in the fastest way possible. Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 6

Oxygen leads to the intensified formation of the blood flow, antithrombotic hormone and increases the number disease-fighting white blood cell. This results in a strong vascular dilation in the complete body structure and have the strongest anti-inflammatory effect and helps nerve regeneration. Spark Wave Spark Wave is a regenerative technology that enables operation in almost all tissues and stimulation of regenerative factors in them. Spark Wave stimulates and it is a trigger of regenerative processes inside a tissue, as well as at a cellular and vascular level, stimulating the self-healing mechanisms of the affected tissue that is diseased or injured. In addition to these benefits, SWF is also used for other purposes, which showed excellent results. High-energy acoustic waves that behave much like other sound waves except that they have much greater pressure and energy. The release of energy from the Spark Wave within the region of the affected tissues and the resultant compression and tension of cells creates a positive physiological effect. Mechano-transduction is the physiological effect thought to be responsible for stimulating normal and injured cells to produce healing factors. The waves are generated due to electric sparks in water when they turn to plasma and high-energy ultrasound waves occur. Laser Blood Irradiation Laser blood irradiation directly or indirectly affects the cells of the immune system, hormones, and exchange processes in an organism, thereby not only improving the function of the vascular system, but also the other systems of an organism. Furthermore, it improves energy metabolism of stem cells. Laser stimulation is used for blood cleansing and renewing the organism after tough workouts and extreme physical efforts by healthy people and top athletes, since it reduces the amount of fat in the blood, it increases oxygen transfer and quickens the removal of harmful substances from the organism. Laser blood stimulation renews blood cells, reduces the erosion of blood vessels, improves the transfer of elements and thus the nourishment of vital organs as well. EFFECTS Blood detoxification Reduction of anxiety and withdrawal crisis due to improvement in blood flow and nourishment of brain Reduction of muscle spasms Improvement of blood flow warm extremities Improved immune system Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 7

Wounds healing Reduction of embolism and thrombosis risk Improvement of general fitness condition Physiotherapy The main goals of physiotherapy are maximising independence and functional potential and minimising secondary complications using specialized equipment and modern physiotherapy devices. Physiotherapy will focus on mobilising joints that have become stiff to help regain normal movement and improving the flexibility of tight muscles will also help towards moving more freely. Restoring postural stability will also have a subsequent effect on balance. Physiotherapy includes various methods for relaxation, energy increase, improved body fluid movement and general revitalization: Lymphatic drainage - activates the flow in the lymphatic system; Magnetic field therapy - increases cell energy; Massage - promotes relaxation, etc. Conventional physiotherapy will help with movement problems, joint stiffness and muscle tightness. The physiotherapist will improve your posture and balance and correct positioning which is extremely important to prevent spasm or injury. Improvements Stem cells are baby cells and it takes some time for differentiation and development after approximately three months we start seeing first improvements firstly we can see improvement of general health condition more energy, more strength, better regimen of sleep, no infections, and then improvements of motor skills decreased tremor, decreased rigidity of the muscles, better dexterity, and what s most important - it gets easier to perform everyday activities. Swiss Medica XXI Century S.A. 8

Alzheimer s Neuroregenerative protocols Neuro-metabolic therapy stimulates the synthesis and utilization of oxygen and glucose, it enhances the transport of energy within cells under conditions of reduced blood flow and oxygen more than 19 times. Neurometabolic compound consists of about 30 percent organic substances such as peptides, amino acids, nucleosides, lipids, oligosaccharides and trace elements (sodium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium). Under their influence the transfer of glucose from the blood into the brain may be increased to 50 percent. Application of neuro-metabolic therapy in appropriate combination with a specific therapy and psychotherapy in less than four weeks led to improvement in more than 85 percent of patients with a variety of mental disorders. Significant improvements are noticeable: reduced intensity and cessation of headaches, insomnias, dizziness, anxiety, fears. Improved concentration and memory. The therapy improves the condition of brain activity in terms of: information processing, decision-making, behavior control. Individually developed Alzheimer disease treatment protocols for affecting the key pathogenic processes which occur in patients with Alzheimer disease, more specifically, for reduction of neuro-inflammation in the central nervous system, for elimination of insoluble β-amyloid peptides (amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles) which accumulate in the neurons and damage them, for slowing down or even stopping the disease progression; Neuro-regenerative protocols and Neuro-metabolic protocols for replacement the damaged or lost neurons in the brain, for recovery of injured neuronal pathways and for anatomical and functional recovery of the central nervous system, for improvement of functional status the patient Individually developed NeuroMicroNutritional Protocols for filling the body with antioxidants, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and necessary active cell's factors (cytokines, interleukins, growth factors, etc.) which play an important role in the nervous tissue regeneration Swiss Medica natural medications for maintenance of health, for revitalization, regeneration and detoxification of the body; for preventing age-related diseases Individually prepared combination of RNA medications (according to diagnosed condition and health state of the patient) for physiological modulation of metabolism and immune system of the body at different functional levels that leads to enhancement of regeneration and restoration of damaged nervous tissue.
