The workflow not being integrated in treasury management systems frequently leads to a lack of visibility. In this workshop, Michael Eggers, Steinhoff Service GmbH, and Dr. Sabine Lechner, Strategies & Research at, show the role SWIFT can play in reducing administrative efforts and increasing visibility. Steinhoff is one of the world s leading household goods and general merchandise retailers, offering everything from procurement to production, logistics, sales and retail. Steinhoff s treasury processes several thousand LC imports every year - now electronically and fully integrated in tm5. The electronic LC solution in tm5 has enabled us to achieve global visibility over all our document-based international business and to more than half processing costs. We can now open, manage, monitor or change LCs in tm5 and communicate with our national and international banking partners via SWIFT, explains Michael Eggers.
