15 Current 20m annual spend on responsive repairs and planned maintenance works delivered by a single contractor Responsive building works 4m Planned building works 7m Emergency call outs, responsive repairs, leaks breakdowns, gas servicing, electrical maintenance Requires good H&S and strong logistical capacity Larger projects include extensions and alteration, new build, re-cladding where structures are involved and logistical considerations are important Smaller projects include refits, replacement doors and windows, kitchen and toilet refurbishment, redecoration M&E Planned 9m Larger projects include boiler replacements, central heating upgrades, lighting upgrades, re-wiring etc. Bulk buying and effective programming are needed Smaller projects include replacing valves, pumps, parts, light fittings, fluorescent tubing, switches, sockets etc
16 New approach 60 SME s are offered 2.0m- 3.5 of planned building maintenance jobs Each firm gets 6 tender opportunities per year Job size is between 7,500 and 75,000 Projects of over 75k go to main contractors under the new Framework Agreements Networking events with main contractors to help create sub-contracting opportunities
