3 History of NPO SODIS NPO SODIS was founded in 2005, but many years of research towards the technologies of structural monitoring came before it was founded. During the research some 1200 objects were granted proper safety certificates. This led to the endorsement of the Russian Government, which is now regulated for each construction project.

4 5 years The research not only focused on safety certification. One year after the foundation, respectively in 2006, national patents were obtained for the engineering methods of NPO SODIS. In 2008 Eurasian patents were obtained for the methodology and products focused on the creation of new security systems of tall and unique objects, the construction and structural monitoring systems, the building services monitoring and anti-terror security systems. The software created by NPO SODIS has been certified by Microsoft and has been awarded many other certifications including ISO With over 250 objects in its project portfolio, including many of Russia s tallest high-rise buildings and Sochi 2014 Olympic venues, NPO SODIS is a recommended partner to collaborate with.

The building services status can be tracked and maintained efficiently at very low cost by NPO SODIS s design and installation of a monitoring system. Using the team s design and installation expertise, patented and researchbased monitoring algorithms hundreds of projects such as high-rise buildings, residential complexes and business centres are already benefiting from this system.

10 SODIS BUILDING SMIS The managing application which is monitoring building services is able to receive, store, maintain and manage all data related to the building s infrastructure. The program is able to: Monitor the life support & safety of systems Monitor the condition of the building services Recognize threatening situations and recommend actions Issue alerts, including automatic messages to emergency services (for example in case of fire) The program has an automated workplace manager with which an operator can immediately identify the current state of the building services, identify issues and decide on further actions. Each building is set up differently and therefore each Building SMIS application is tailored to the structure under monitoring. The NPO SODIS team sets up each application according to the requirements for the building services.

13 Construction and structural monitoring systems Construction monitoring systems monitor deformations in the soil and structure to ensure a safe and efficient construction process. 17 Security and anti-terrorism measures NPO SODIS has developed advanced methods and algorithms for the evaluation of terrorist threats to a building based on structural models and drawings. 18 Building maintenance systems According to Russian law, every construction project requires a documentation section on the maintenance of a structure. NPO SODIS is able to provide paper project documentation but has also developed a specific building maintenance system which brings together: Building operators (technical information, planning, inventory) Building management (service quality monitoring, customer satisfaction) Residents and tenants (maintenance requests, performance evaluation) For each project NPO SODIS identifies the needs and provides a unique solution.

NPO SODIS provided anti-terrorism security design and recommendations, but also the design, installation and commissioning of structural monitoring systems and building services monitoring systems for the complete complex.

21 Building information modelling (BIM) NPO SODIS is able to provide 3D-designs of any construction project which allows for the optimization of construction and operation of the structure. A modern analogue of the design drawings can not only reduce the amount of time it takes to execute a project, but also achieve maximum accuracy in terms of the construction of the model, thus virtually eliminating the possibility of errors and inaccuracies in the project. NPO SODIS can include all building services in their 3D models and therefore does not only focus on the construction of the structural system. The models can also be used in our building services monitoring service.

24 Since 2009 NPO SODIS has several high-rise building projects in Moskva City, Moscow s new International Business Centre. NPO SODIS works on the project design, installation and commissioning of structural monitoring systems and building services monitoring systems.

25 Structural analysis NPO SODIS uses the advanced finite element modelling software ANSYS for their calculations and is able to create mathematical models of any complexity and scale from miniature to full-size building designs where each floor is unique. The NPO SODIS team performs the following structural analysis: Deflections Sediment stress and strain Natural vibrations Mode shapes Stability analysis (critical loads and buckling modes) Dynamic analysis (vibration, seismic, wind, blast or other dynamic effects) Non-linear analysis (such as contact-interaction taking into account large displacements, cable-stayed or span structures, non-linear material properties) NPO SODIS is able to confirm the structural analysis results in real structures as well. 26 Energy efficiency NPO SODIS is able to provide energy audits based on the design documentation and provide energy performance certificates based on real energy usage. Additionally NPO SODIS can provide recommendations and execute a program to implement energy saving technologies.
