9 What s Behind It? Through use of encrypted communications, the mobile device communicates with the back office equipment in real-time to process the fare amount due. This customized process is developed in conjunction with the facility to handle all fare tables. American Roads Technologies has worked with different system providers to implement the required protocols within the Technologies framework and can provide varying levels of expertise or equipment to meet the facility s needs.

Account services can include multiple types of discounts, fees, and expiration options. Mobile payment options are available along with PCI compliant credit card processing. Account management is detailed and offers document storage. In addition, customers have access to online account management.
