It is also the preferred resin in applications requiring a balance of density and physical properties. n Formolon 616K is a higher molecular weight resin and is preferred in applications with demanding physical property requirements such as decking and railing and yet the lowest possible density to reduce product cost. n Formolon 622 has the highest level of physical properties. It also yields the lowest density for a given blowing agent level but the trade off is that it requires the highest energy requirements to process. 622 is used in products such as foam core pipe.
