2 CHRYSO Fluid Optima, the very high-range water reducing superplasticizers developed by CHRYSO
3 A large range to meet all your requirements CHRYSO, leader in innovation on the concrete admixtures market, offers a large range of new generation superplasticizers for the ready-mix concrete market: CHRYSO Fluid Optima. This range of superplasticizers meets different requirements such as initial flowability, workability retention and early and longterm strengths. The CHRYSO Fluid Optima range comes in different series: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 100 series produces a cohesive concrete with an extended workability retention and a low concrete viscosity. This series is therefore particularly suited to pumped concrete. CHRYSO Fluid Optima 200 series is tailored to the requirements of self-compacting concretes with its water reducing and extended workability retention performances. In addition to the performances of CHRYSO Fluid Optima 200 series, CHRYSO Fluid Optima 220 series delivers better strength and an improved appearance of the fresh concrete in most configurations. Thanks to a new breakthrough technology, CHRYSO Fluid Optima 300 series offers excellent workability retention along with superior rheodynamic properties of fresh concrete. These admixture solutions are particularly well suited to self-compacting concretes. The extent of the CHRYSO Fluid Optima range facilitates options to meet strict specifications, thereby optimising the cost/ performance ratio. A commitment from CHRYSO to provide you with the best service For technical questions, our organisation has local teams available to identify the solutions most suited to your requirements. The work of these field experts can also be completed by trials conducted by our network of concrete laboratories. These material trials will enable us to identify the best admixture solution, while taking into account the specific local concrete constituents. Our experts can also make recommendations to optimise your concrete mix design. CHRYSO Fluid Optima range: performance serving your needs CHRYSO Fluid Optima Series Water reduction or Improved workability * ** ** *** Workability retention *** ** ** ** Fresh concrete properties *** ** ** ** Rheodynamic properties of the fresh concrete ** ** *** *** Low concrete viscosity (pumpability) *** * * ** Robustness vs Variation of the materials *** ** *** ** Early compressive strength * *** ** *** Compressive strength at 28 days *** ** ** ** *** The greater the number of stars, the better performance for the criteria.
4 CHRYSO Fluid Optima 100 series This range of superplasticizers uses a unique patented technology by CHRYSO (based on modified phosphonate). These superplasticizers produce cohesive, low viscosity concretes with extended workability retention. They are therefore particularly suited to: pumped concrete; workability retention over 2 hours; high ambient temperatures. Extra long workability retention Very robust Low concrete viscosity SOCCER CITY STADIUM - JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima ,000 m 3 of concrete was required to build the 2010 Soccer World Cup stadium. Used to produce high-performance concrete with a very long flowability. TAMARINS ROAD - REUNION ISLAND Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 100 Construction of 11 piers and a 4.5 m thick deck. CHRYSO Fluid Optima 100 met the specifications of the C30/37 concrete, despite restrictive local aggregates. PORT OF TANGIERS - MOROCCO Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 175 Production of 7,500 Accropode blocks and 40 four-cell caissons of the new port dike. Workability retention: 90 minutes and good cohesion between the two successive concrete pours. Production of high-strength concrete which allows for the removal of the formwork after 4 hours. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - LE HAVRE, FRANCE Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 175 Construction of the 15 m deep diaphragm walls. CHRYSO Fluid Optima 175 was used to produce self-compacting concretes (XA3 C45/55 formulation, without filler) with on-site 45 minutes workability. A workability/water reduction compromise tailored to the requirements of the jobsite. BACALAN BRIDGE - BORDEAUX, FRANCE Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 185 Construction of the 77-metre high bridge pylons which support 117-metre of lift span, representing a total of 30,000 m 3 of concrete. The product was specifically chosen for its strength performance so as to guarantee perfect consistency of the concrete regardless of the climatic variations of the local materials.
5 CHRYSO Fluid Optima 200 series This range of superplasticizers combines the properties of maintained fluidity and water reduction. This range is essentially characterised by the following properties: extended workability retention; medium and long-term compressive strength (High Performance Concrete Very High Performance Concrete); formulation of fluid to self-compacting concretes. Robustness Extended workability retention Water reduction NORTH ARM BRIDGE, CANADIAN LINE - CANADA Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 203 Production of concrete for the construction of the deck, two main pylons (45 m high) and the approach piers on either side of the North Arm Bridge. A 2 -hour workability retention ensured the expected amount of air as well as the excellent quality of the facings. GAUTRAIN PROJECT: SANDTON UNDERGROUND TRAIN STATION SOUTH AFRICA Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 206 Production of 22,000 m 3 of ready-mix concrete for the construction of the diaphragm walls of the train station under the Rivona river. Pumping over 500 m with very good plasticity and excellent workability retention. NOWE MIASTRO SHOPPING CENTRE - KRAKOW, POLAND Admixture used: CHRYSO Fluid Optima 206 Construction of beams, walls, ceilings and racks with architectural self-compacting concrete.
