2 Mr. Laverne Dalgleish, Principal Building Professionals Laverne is a principal in Building Professionals, Inc. which designs, develops, implements and delivers site quality assurance programs for the construction industry and provides management and administration services for trade associations. He was the Executive Director for CUFCA for 20 years. He designed and developed the site quality assurance program that CUFCA uses and has also done this for the air barrier industry, the exterior insulation and finish systems industry, the geothermal heat pump industry and the door and window industry. He spends a lot of time in standards and has written the operating procedures for the Building Performance Institute and for RESNET to be an ANSI accredited standard developing organization. He is the Chair of the ULC Committee on Thermal Insulation, the ULC Committee on Air Barriers, the ISO TC61 SC10 Sub-Committee on Cellular Plastics. He is the secretary of the ISO TC163 SC3 Sub-Committee on Thermal Insulation Products and the Recording Secretary for ASTM E06. He has been involved in personnel certification and has written the operating procedures for Building Professionals Quality Institute to be accredited by SCC and the Building Performance institute to be accredited by ANSI and has sat on various certification scheme committees. He is active in ASTM E06 and C16 Committees. He has been the project manager for the Wall Energy Rating research project and the Drainage and Drying research project with NRC and the Air Barrier project with DOE and ORNL. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Energy Efficient Buildings for the National Energy Code for Buildings and the Joint Task Group on Energy Efficient Houses and Small Buildings for Chapter 36 of the NBC.
