RIGID FOAM INSULATION Dow s portfolio of rigid foam insulation products includes STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene and Dow polyisocyanurate insulation. Proprietary manufacturing processes produce boards with uniform, closed-cell structures and high, stable R-values. STYROFOAM insulation products offer the highest moisture resistance of any foam plastic insulation. The reusable boards feature high compressive strength but are also lightweight and easy to cut to size. Dow polyisocyanurate insulation products feature insulation cores of thermoset foam plastic laminated to a variety of facers that enhance strength, moisture resistance and rigidity. BUILDING ENVELOPE SOLUTIONS Product and Description Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Building Code Compliance DOW Protection Board III An extruded polystyrene foam insulation board with plastic film on one side. Fanfolded 50' lengths make it easy to install and work with on the job site. Recommended for waterproofing protection on the exterior of perimeter concrete and masonry walls. STYROFOAM DECKMATE Plus An extruded polystyrene insulation board with square edges. Designed for use in conventional low slope roof applications. Can be installed directly on structural steel deck in all building code jurisdictions. Contact Dow or Underwriters Laboratories for complete listings. Minimum compressive strength of 25 psi. STYROFOAM Highload 40, 60 and 100 An extruded polystyrene foam insulation board with high compressive strength developed specifically for in-ground applications and freezer floors. STYROFOAM PERIMATE An extruded polystyrene foam insulation board with distinct dovetail grooves cut into one face of the board and shiplap edges on the long edges. When installed on the exterior of basement walls, it provides insulation, protects the waterproofing membrane and assists water drainage away from the foundation. Qualifies as Class A, Type 2 drainage product in Canada. Complies with ASTM C578 Type IV. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier. Also meets updated ASHRAE 90.1 standard for continuous insulation on exterior walls. THERMAX Heavy Duty Plus A glass-fiber-reinforced polyisocyanurate foam core faced with nominal 16.5 mil embossed white acrylic-coated aluminum sheet laminated to plain 1 mil aluminum on one side and 1 mil plain aluminum on the other side. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier. THERMAX Light Duty A glass-fiber-reinforced polyisocyanurate foam core faced with nominal 1.25 mil embossed white acrylic-coated aluminum on one side and 1.25 mil embossed aluminum on the other side. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier. THERMAX Metal Building Board A polyisocyanurate foam core with an embossed aluminum foil facer on both sides. These aluminum foil facers serve to dampen the noise resulting from the system s movement when outside temperatures change. Available from 1/2" to 4-1/4" thick. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier. THERMAX Sheathing A glass-fiber-reinforced polyisocyanurate foam core with solid aluminum foil facers on both sides. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier. Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation FROTH-PAK FS Foam Insulation Kit Two-component, quick-cure spray polyurethane foam that fills studs, sill plates and large cavities for insulation and air sealing. Incorporates the environmentally friendly Enovate 3000 blowing agent from Honeywell. Use with acrylic or silicone coating for a full system. Building Code Compliance UL Classified as a thermal insulation (entire system). DOW SPF Roof Coatings DOW SPF Acrylic Coating A 100 percent acrylic elastomeric coating for SPF roof systems. Forms a tough, flexible membrane to resist weathering. DOW SPF Silicone Coating Silicone rubber roof coating for use with SPF roof systems. Forms a tough, flexible membrane that stands up to weathering. Polyurethane Sealant and Adhesive Products FROTH-PAK Foam Sealant Kit A two-component, quick-cure polyurethane foam that fills cavities, penetrations, cracks and expansion joints larger than 2". It can also be used as a sealant in many roofing applications. Available in a selection of densities to meet different application requirements. (Only FROTH-PAK 115 [2.75 pcf] may be used for roof repair.) When applied at the roof-to-wall juncture, FROTH-PAK Foam Sealant may be left exposed to the interior (maximum exposure area 6" high and 4.5" deep). GREAT STUFF PRO Gaps & Cracks A one-component, minimal-expanding, insulating, fireblocking penetration polyurethane foam sealant ideal for smaller gaps and penetrations less than 2". Building Code Compliance Not applicable. Interlocking System Two-part PVC closure with sections that easily snap into place for a secure fit. Base sections fasten to concrete or masonry walls or ceilings. Not applicable. J-Channel PVC closure that is typically used when other closure methods will not cover the joints between boards (such as the top and bottom of THERMAX insulation or at the roof peak when combining two sections of board). Not applicable. THERMAX White and Aluminum Foil Tapes Strong and durable foil tapes provide a neat interior appearance and help prevent air and water vapor infiltration at joints and seams. Not applicable. WEATHERMATE Straight Flashing A crosslinked polymeric film facer with butyl adhesive creates a water-resistant seal across insulation board joints, and window and door rough openings.
