4 NSS RA AS INTEGRAL AND COORDINATING UNIT National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSSRA) Is represented in all groups and actively participates in all the meetings of the groups and discussions Consults Interagency commission on development of national and sub-national indicators Facilitates data production, processing and publishing Coordinates relationships between agencies, institutions and stakeholders.

7 COLLABORATION WITH ADMINISTRATIVE DATA OWNERS Administrative records - one of the main sources of information for production of official Social Sphere and Nature Protection statistics. NSSRA closely collaborates with administrative data owners. NSSRA is actively using the SDGs platform for integrating administrative data sources in the production of the SDGs indicators.

8 DATA INTEGRATION EXAMPLE: SOCIAL SPHERE AND NATURE PROTECTION STATISTICS Social Sphere and Nature Protection Statistics Division collects primary data from organizations: pre-primary, preliminary vocational, middle vocational and higher educational institutions, scientific organizations educational institutions engaged in post-graduate education, etc. Social Sphere and Nature Protection Statistics Division collects summary data from administrative registers, and conducts surveys.

9 DATA INTEGRATION EXAMPLE: SOCIAL SPHERE STATISTICS Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA (standardization, certification, accreditation) Ministry of Culture of RA (publication of books, newspapers and other periodicals) Ministry of Justice of RA (convicted, judicial acts compulsory enforcement, activity of notarial offices) Ministry of Education and Science of RA (activity of secondary schools) Social Sphere Administrative registers Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of RA (activity of national archive) The State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre adjunct to the Government of RA(housing, real estate alienation transactions, analysis of real estate market) Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of RA (pensioners, people receiving allowances, adoption, people with disabilities) Ministry of Health of RA (diseases, medical personnel, activity of medical institutions) The State Revenue Committee adjunct to the Government of RA (tax and customs legal violations) Police of RA (crime incidents, persons engaged in crime)

10 DATA INTEGRATION EXAMPLE: NATURE PROTECTION STATISTICS Ministry of Nature Protection of RA (forestry activity, waste management, water usage, drainage, harmful atmospheric pollutions, environmental and nature management fees, environmental operating costs, main production means, extraction of minerals, geological studies, efficient usage of environmental and natural resouces controlled by state) Nature Protection Administrative registers Ministry of Emergency Situations of RA (emergency situations, victims) Ministry of Agriculture of RA (forestry activity)

ENSURE INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE QUALITY EDUCATION AND PROMOTE LIFELONG LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL Target Global Indicator Nationalized Indicator Parity indices Gender parity index (female/male, rural/urban, primary 1.00 bottom/top wealth quintile lower secondary 1.01 and others such as disability high 1.20 status, indigenous peoples secondary 1.04 and conflict-affected, as data preliminary vocational 0.43 become available) for all middle vocational 1.31 education indicators on this the first stage of higher list that can be disaggregated education (bachelor) 1.26 the second stage of higher education (master) By 2030, eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples and children in vulnerable situations

Create high quality registers Create integrating administrative registers system with unified identification code NSO s should provide intense support to administrative bodies on methodologies, standards and classifications through close cooperation and partnership with administrative data holders through discussions and consultations in working groups

16 RECOMMENDATIONS Have further success by: Enhancing the coordination at regional and national levels Strengthening statistical capacity Establishment of reporting system Trainings will enhance our capability to use administrative data registers with the involvement of administrative bodies Active involvement of stakeholders in SDGs processes will promote activities towards the establishment of Integrated System of Administrative Registers
