1 2016 Wipe Out Waste Ambassador Business Recognition Awards The Wipe Out Waste Ambassador Business Recognition Awards seek to recognize Mecklenburg County businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to building a stronger community through waste reduction and recycling measures. In addition to being honored at the 2016 Awards Banquet on October 27 th, award winners (and their respective programs) will be featured in video segments produced by the County to encourage waste reduction and recycling practices in the business community. Award winners will be selected solely upon the information included within this application form. As such, attachments highlighting specific programs or events are strongly encouraged. Please note that Award categories are determined by the applications received. Last year s award categories included: Sustainable Small Business of the Year; Sustainable Business of the Year, Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year; Recycling Service Provider of the Year; Institutional Recycling Program of the Year; and The Pacesetter Award. **Applications are due by 6:00 pm on September 2 nd, All applications are welcome, as the submittal of this form will also be acknowledged as entrance into the Wipe Out Waste Ambassador Program.
