7 4222 Conductivity Conductivity 0 to 20 μs; 0 to 200 μs; 0 to 2,000 μs; 0 to 20,000 μs; 0 to 200,000 μs Resolution 0.01 μs; 0.1 μs; 1 μs; 10 μs S411-S428 Conductivity probes Specially designed for use in an industrial environment, these make it possible to cover a very wide measuring range, thanks to versions with temperature sensor, special versions with PVC, PTFE, PVDF body, graphite, steel or platinum electrodes. Conductivity is measured by submerging the two metal electrodes of the probe in the solution to be measured. The passage of current between the two probes allows the electrical resistance of the liquid and therefore its conductivity to be measured. The measurement is influenced by the temperature. In saline solutions, there are variations of 2% / C. This variation can reach 7% / C, therefore the use conductivity probes with no temperature sensor is preferable if the solution being examined remains at a temperature of between 15 C and 25 C. The result has been obtained by moulding the sensor made using polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass. This sensor offers all the advantages of the inductive cond. measurement method, including the absence of passivation of the conventional conductivity electrodes. All the sensors in the S410/IND range are temperature-compensated, and are also designed for inline, submersion or tank installation. These cells generate a current proportional to the partial pressure of the oxygen, which can be detected using a suitable signal converter. In order to prevent interference during measuring, the Clark cell is protected by a gas-permeable membrane. The membranes typically used are made from PTFE but, as this material is mechanically fragile, frequent changing is often necessary, along with the related demanding operations (interruption of measurement, replacement of the electrolyte, regeneration of the electrodes). The S423 solves this problem by using a membrane made from OPTIFLOW. Manufactured as a sheet around a layer of steel, it is very stable mechanically and very resistant to chemically aggressive environments as well as high pressure. Thanks to the special construction of the measuring electrodes, this system also makes the sensor totally maintenance free. Maintenance OXYSENS sensors are maintenance-free, and do not require the replacement of the membrane, electrolyte or regeneration of the electrodes, to measure the oxygen in aqueous samples. Typical applications include water treatment plants and the fish industry. The measuring technique is based on the optical principle: a diode emits a light blue towards a support on which a fluorescent substrate is applied. The substrate initially reacts by emitting a red light (luminescence), then returns to its initial state. The intensity of the red light produced and the rate of return to the initial state are related to the concentration of oxygen present. This innovative method ensures reliable, accurate measurements with no drift over time, therefore system calibration is no longer necessary. No maintenance is required except for replacing the luminescent support about every two years. The system does not consume oxygen, therefore it is suitable for the most varied fields of application, including those in which the measuring liquid is almost stationary. Digital technology Built-in pre-amplification circuit and digital signal processing. The S432/C/OPT sensor saves the calibration data for optimal data management. The measuring principle is the deviation of light produced by the particles suspended in the liquid. Thanks to the dual sensor system, turbidity can be measured at low and very low concentrations with high levels of precision and repeatability. The absence of contact with the measuring liquid and the optical LED technology make the system stable over time and minimise the need for re-calibrations. The cell can be installed directly in-line. The maximum allowable pressure is 6 bar, or on bypass piping. The flow rate does not affect the measurement. Applications Water treatment plants, on leaving the filtration or decantation sections.
