13 LARGE SCALE PILOT TEST AT MGP SITE TREATMENT USING S ISCO VeruTEK Technologies, Inc. implemented a large scale green remediation pilot test. The test focused on treatment of subsurface coal tar at a former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) with VeruTEK s Coelution Technology TM, surfactant enhanced in situ chemical oxidation (S ISCO TM ). Prior to implementation of S ISCO, four separated ISCO pilot tests were performed at the Site. All previous pilot tests resulted in failure. The results from VeruTEK s Pilot Test exceeded expectations. Greater than 4 times the test designed soil contamination was destroyed and the test achieved a sustainable reduction in groundwater contamination. A third party consultant concluded that S ISCO TM destroyed soil, groundwater, and soil gas contamination at the site in a safe and controlled manner and demonstrated that complete or near complete treatment of MGP contaminated soils can be achieved.

15 SUBSURFACE COAL TAR (MGP) REMEDY NEAR RESIDENCES USING S ISCO VeruTEK Technologies Inc. is successfully implementing an in place remediation of soil, groundwater, and coal tar at a former MGP site. Interim (75 percent final) results show the following: 1.After three months, 34 out of 39 soil samples have already met TAGM (clean) soil objectives all soils will reach TAGM in the next month contaminants will continue to degrade to near zero over the next two years; 2. More than 30 tons of subsurface coal tar residue has already been safely destroyed (converted to water and carbon dioxide); 3. Coal tar has been remedied beneath buildings and other structures; The objective of clean groundwater (GA Groundwater standard) will be achievedby the end of the project (within the next three months).
