3 Growing Green For The Future Biomass Gasification System We want to ensure that we do our part in securing a green future our children. To bring us closer to our goal of energy independence, Mor Gro Farms has invested heavily in to various green technologies. To help us achieve our goals, we have teamed up with a leader in green farming technology GGi - Green Grorganics Inc. Together, we have already drastically reduced our carbon footprint by implementing some common methods such as energy efficient lighting and skylights in our warehouse; and more importantly our state of the art biomass gasification system. Our part in being environmentally friendly Use of recyclable packaging materials. Energy efficient lighting Warehouse skylights Irrigation water recycling Strict recycling program Lights-out policy Rooftop solar panels Biomass gasifier to create heat and electricity In the future, there will be no diiference between waste and energy. Our state of the biomass gasifier, developed by Green Grorganics, converts waste materials, that would otherwise be put in landfills, in to energy that is used to power our facility, heat our greenhouses, and provide our plants with needed carbon dioxide. Some of the waste materials that can be used are municipal waste pellets, scrap wood, corn husks, miscanthus, and much more! Because the biomas gasification process consists of a chemical reaction at high temperatures, there is virtualy no polutants emmited in to the atmospehere. This technology is consider to be carbonnegative or carbon-neutral. This essentially means that we do not continue to add carbon in to the atmosphere from such traditional sources as coal or natural gas. This technology is on the verge of extraordinary growth and has the ability to save thousands of tonnes of carbon per year as compared with traditional greenhouse facilities.
