2 Jason Ottenhoff Penny Ottenhoff Chemology is a proudly Australian company that continues to grow based on a need in the market for fairly-priced, high quality water treatment chemicals across a wide range of industries and applications, backed up by service excellence.

3 The Chemology Creation Toll blender, Chemology, was established in 2008 by Penny and Jason Ottenhoff in Adelaide, South Australia. Penny and Jason had identified the need for an independent, Australianbased supplier of industrial chemicals, initially for use in the water treatment market. Up until that point in time, retailers of water treatment chemicals were limited in their choice of supply of chemical treatments, typically being forced to use competitors. Furthermore, the supply of base chemicals required for the creation of specific treatments was increasingly controlled by Chinese chemical suppliers. As a result, uncertainties regarding price, quality, and lead times made it difficult for water treatment chemical retailers to serve their respective customers in a manner that would meet their needs. This not only made life difficult for Australian businesses needing water treatment chemicals to grow their businesses but, in turn, made it difficult for the suppliers of water treatment chemicals to grow their brands. In Chemology, Australian water treatment suppliers now had access to a locally-based, independent source of chemical treatments at a wholesale level, creating a number of important benefits; No more sourcing of water treatment blends from competitors A guarantee of high quality chemical solutions to suit Australian standards No costly and inconvenient overseas freight Competitive pricing that could allow more attractive retail margins After only a couple of years in business, Chemology soon found demand for their toll blending services extended beyond South Australia s borders to include all Australian mainland states. Not only this, Penny and Jason found Chemology evolving into new product areas such as Clean-In-Place (CIP), and in new industries such as the Australian wine industry. As a result, Chemology has enjoyed double digit growth, consistently, over the last five years. The next five years will see Chemology continue to grow as new distributors continue to come on board across the nation, enabling more Australian businesses to benefit from quality Australian products at an affordable price.

However, as word spread regarding the quality of our chemical treatments, the reliability of our service, and the fairness of our prices, opportunities soon presented themselves in terms of new markets and new product solutions in product areas such as CIP. As a result, the type of businesses for which we provide solutions, broadened to include for example, food and beverage companies, especially wineries. Therefore, Chemology now regards as potential end users, all businesses across Australia that have a need for our product range.
