13 THE COVER LETTER: THINGS TO REMEMBER 1 page max! Note the structure Focus the content according to the position you are applying for! The first paragraph is the most important: motivation and statement Personal introduction in connection to the position/organization What is your input to the organization? Answer the job ad! The aim is to get invited to an interview Do not repeat your cv but complement it Avoid adjectives, USE verbs! Contact the employer 13
