6 What is required for receiving EQIP funding for a composter? q Signing up for EQIP at local Field Office Applications are competitively ranked. EQIP funds projects that solve resource concerns. q A technically approved CNMP Helps with ranking score Resource concern showing that there is a problem with the current mortality management. The CNMP needs to represent YOUR plan, and must be complete BEFORE any construction begins.

9 Who will do the planning and design? q NRCS Sturdy facilities: these will last. Standard designs facilitate quicker design process but present limitations on options Get NRCS involved during the planning process make sure the CNMP calculations use one of the standard designs (bin height, etc)

11 What do these facilities look like? q Examples can be found online on Illinois NRCS website. q Designs online are not completed! More engineering work needs to be done by a PE before the designs can be used.
