3 Custom Reports Module 3 1 Custom Reports Module Product Overview Custom Reports option offers the following functions: Administrators can build Custom Reports containing data from pre-configured data groupings. Custom Reports can be saved in the Custom Reports Library. Reports that have been saved in the Custom Report Library can be viewed, printed and exported to Excel. Custom Reports Prerequisites For a company to use the Custom Reports module, they must have access to the following systems: PayChoice Online Employee Services (Optional) In order to Create a custom report, the user must have: o Administrator Access to Employee Services Custom Reports Setup Custom Reports is an integral part of PayChoice Online and Employee Services. 1.1 Accessing Custom Reports Accessing Custom Reports To access custom reports from Employee Services, select Reports from the main menu.

6 6 Employee Services Module 1.2 Creating a Custom Report Creating a Custom Report This section describes how to add a new custom report Reports Listing When Reports are accessed a listing of available reports will display. Click the Create Custom Report button to add a new report

7 Custom Reports Module Report Builder Grouping When you click Create Custom Reports from the Reports Listing page, you will be taken to the Report Builder Wizard. Report Grouping The first step is to select the Report Grouping from the dropdown list. When a Report Grouping is selected the box on the left will be populated with the fields available in that grouping. The available fields are listed on the left of the screen. Use the >> key to select the desired fields to print on the report. This moves the desired fields to the right side of the screen. Use the << key to remove any fields added. If all fields are desired on the report use the Select All Button Once fields are selected click Continue

8 8 Employee Services Module All full list of all data elements in each report grouping are available at the end of the Custom Reports Section Report Builder Sort Select the fields to determine the sort criteria of the report. Highlight fields in the left box that you wish to determine the report sort order. Move and order selected fields as desired using the buttons available. Press Continue to advance to the next step or back to return to the previous step. Any number of fields can be selected; however, it s suggested to keep the sort order to a minimum of three. The order displayed in the right box represents the order the report items will be sorted. The available fields are listed on the left of the screen. Use the >> key to select the desired fields to print on the report. This moves the desired fields to the right side of the screen. Use the << key to remove any fields added.

9 Custom Reports Module 9 If all fields are desired on the report use the Select All Button Click on the Back button to go back to the previous screen Once fields are selected click Continue Report Builder Filter Select those Report Filters you would like available at run time. The selections from this step will determine the filters that are available on the Reports Listing Page. The available filters include: Division/Department Filter (Check Box) Employee Filter (Check Box) One Optional Field (Select from left box) If the Optional field you select is a date field and you wish to display a Date Picker for ease of entry by checking the box labeled - Display the Optional Filter Date

This moves the desired fields to the right side of the screen. Use the << key to remove any fields added. If all fields are desired on the report use the Select All Button Click on the Back button to go back to the previous screen Once fields are selected click Continue Report Builder Definition Reports are saved by: Supplying a Report Name If Desired enter a Report Description Select who will have access to the report by selecting from the Report Availability dropdown Press Submit to save the report or back to return to the previous step.

11 Custom Reports Module Reports Listing Display Custom Reports Custom Reports are available for selection from the Reports Listing screen: When All Reports is selected from the Report Group Dropdown When Custom Reports is selected from the Report Group Dropdown.

12 12 Employee Services Module From this screen you can Edit or delete the report from the Report Listing by selecting the correct link. Click on the report name to run the report Enter a report filter if desired and click Display Selected Report to process the report. Use the Export to Excel link to send the report to MS Excel

13 Custom Reports Module Edit Custom Report To edit a report select Custom Reports from the Report Group Dropdown on the Reports Listing page. When the Custom Reports group is selected, an administrator can edit the report from the report listing by pressing the Edit Button on the appropriate report listing entry. 1.5 Delete a Custom Report To delete a report select Custom reports from the Report Group Dropdown on the Reports Listing page.
