1 Company: Post: UMRC has been setup by Government of Uttarakhand as a special Purpose Vehicle for implementation and operation of Rail Based Mass Rapid Transit System (Metro) in selected cities of Uttarakhand. Applications are invited from dynamic, experienced and highly motivated professionals having related work experience on permanent basis for the post of MANAGING DIRECTOR. No of Post : 1 Pay Scale : Job Duration: Age Limit: The candidate shall be initially on probation for a period of one year from the date of initial appointment and depending upon the performance after probation period, the Contract may be increased in UMRC. Maximum 62 Years as on 1 st July 2016 Educational Qualification: Experience: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil/ Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from Government recognized University/Institution with minimum 60% marks He/ She should have been responsible for planning, project preparation and design of MRTS/rail projects. Individuals presently working in Indian Railways / Government Organization/ PSUs or Individuals working in 1 UMRC

2 private sector having hands on experience of various facets of Railway and Metro projects with proven track record having a total work experience of 25 years in planning, designing and implementation of railway projects. Individual should have worked for minimum 5 years in SA grade in Government/ ED level minimum 2 years PSU/private sector as project head for minimum 3 years. Must have hands on experience as chief Manager/ Project In-charge for a Underground / elevated Metro Rail and Stations projects with minimum 10 years of experience in planning, designing and execution of metro rail projects. Desirable: Should have served as Managing Director in an organization working for railways/metro railways project Job Description: The Managing Director/Director Projects will have overall responsibility of conceptualizing and commissioning of Metro Rail Projects in the state of Uttarakhand. He will a. Perform related functions in the management and control all planning, design and construction of Metro Rail Projects through consultants/contractors and helps to ensure that the project is legally / regulatory compliant, transparent, ethical, teamworkoriented and customer service oriented. b. Co-ordinate and works closely with various Governments Departments, Stakeholders c. Review and advise on overall planning of rail tracks and supporting infrastructure for maintenance and storage of rail cars, railcar service and inspection facilities, including the yard control tower; 2 UMRC

3 transportation and police facilities; maintenance-of-way facility; materials warehouse facility; rail systems and equipment for traction power, train control and communication d. Ensure roadway construction and improvements; drainage and storm water management facilities; and associated utility connections and relocations.
