Positive lifestyle changes, such as increased physical activity and a healthy diet, can often prevent these costly medical conditions before they arise. INCREASED WORKPLACE PRODUCTIVITY Workers who exercise on a regular basis tend to have more energy and be more productive while at work. The average office worker s efficiency decreases 50% for the final two hours of the day, while regular exercisers work at full efficiency all day, amounting to a 12.5% increase in productivity. 1 INCREASED WORKPLACE MORALE Active and healthy employees tend to have a more positive and energetic outlook that can keep morale high within an organization. The enrollment fee is waived for employees who enroll through company payroll deduct. No payroll deductions during 30-day corporate enrollment period (a savings of up to $66.75). Free 1-week trial during corporate open enrollment period. YMCA can provide company usage reports. All standard membership policies and procedures apply. 5 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK? A. The YMCA will invoice you monthly for the number of employees that have YMCA memberships. You will be responsible for the distribution of payroll deduction forms to your employees and then handle the amount withdrawn. Q. WHAT IF OUR COMPANY WOULD LIKE TO SUBSIDIZE A PORTION OF OUR EMPLOYEES YMCA MEMBERSHIPS? A. You would adjust the amount your organization withdraws from payroll deduction. No hassle with extra paperwork or adjustments of a contract. We want to make this easy as possible for you and your employees. Q. IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO SUBSIDIZE A PORTION OF OUR EMPLOYEES YMCA MEMBERSHIPS? A. YES! Employee Wellness Programs help lower health care costs, reduce absenteeism and improve overall morale. In challenging economic times, it is important to try to lower high health care costs. Subsidizing a portion of your employees YMCA memberships encourages their involvement and will be viewed as a benefit to your organization. The average Return of Investment for Employee Wellness Programs is $3.14 in benefits for every $1 spent. Q. WHAT IF AN EMPLOYEE LEAVES THE COMPANY OR IS TERMINATED? A. Yes, the YMCA is happy to provide usage reports. These reports are a great tool in determining if the memberships are being utilized; and can be used for contests or other employee incentives.
