2 1. Entry procedures Environmental substance reports to be submitted according to the Environmental Substance Report Manual are two types as follows. In the case of a part and product In the case of raw materials supplied by Pioneer on charge<<[not-applicable to PAC] Raw materials supplied by Pioneer on charge are defined as materials (Steel material, aluminum material, resin material solder, cardboard base paper, solder plated wire and nonferrous material) for which the Pioneer raw material number is attached Note: Clauses 1.2(1), 1.2(2), & 1.3 are Not-Applicable to PAC. (Instead, please refer to Pioneer Data Check / Print Tool Manual Ver1.2) 1.1. Entry unit * Product units and part mass units are as follows. In the case of countable parts, the unit quantity is g In the case of uncountable parts, the unit quantity is l, m, or kg (unit when received) * Content units are as follows. In the case of countable parts, the unit is mg In the case of uncountable parts, the unit is mg/l,mg/m,mg/kg (unit when received) In the case of raw materials, the unit is mg/kg * Content unit percentage is ppm. * Chemical substances to be surveyed for content percentage are the 4 substances of cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead and mercury In the case of a part and product (1) Applicable Environmental Substance Report of the following two types of formats should be used Please refer to the Environmental Substance Report (original) Ver Format PC-EnvA0403 Environmental Substance Report * Should be used in the case where the applicable item is a countable part (capacitor, panel, unit, assembled items) (Content percentage, content, substance-containing component and purpose of use of chemical substances contained in a portion of parts should be described.) * Should be used in the case where the applicable item is an uncountable part (grease, bond or tape, etc.). (The content percentage, content, substance-containing component and purpose of use of chemical substances contained in a unit quantity (1kg, 1l or 1m) should be described.) Format PC-ENVC0403 Environmental Substance Report for Attachment * Should be used only in the case of electrical parts batch certification. * Check the circle in the column presence of the presence /absence items of the Environmental Substance Report for Attachment of the format as the front page, attach format Environmental Substance Report for attachment as a second page to format 1.2.1, and submit these Forms as one set. (Refer to Report Entry Examples (3A) and (3B).) (2) Cautions for Entry * Environmental Substance Report should be submitted as one sheet for each product. (Excluded in the case of batch certification of electrical parts) * If the column is insufficient, because there are a large number of substance-containing components, add pages. * In this case, description of items in the basic information survey column of page 2 and succeeding pages other than the Pioneer parts No. is not required. (Refer to Entry Example (1)-2~(2)-2~(2)-3) * If there are plural substance-containing components per substance group, please enter a substance-containing component per substance group referring to Entry Example (1)~(2) and use another page for another component contained the same substance, and please do not enter the total content of a substance group contained in plural components. 2

(Refer to Survey Form Entry example (4)) * Please enter the substance-containing component name, not material name. (Substance-containing component name according to the name specified in the drawing or delivery inspections). (In the case where there is no applicable part, the description may be main body. ) * As for the company name column, describe the name of the trading firm even when the certification documents are submitted directly from the manufacturer and not through the trading firm. As for the supplier code, describe the trading firm code without fail. Description of both the trading firm and manufacturer names are acceptable. * No omission in check of ( )for Yes or No (Yes: XX1 No: 0) for use of ozone-depleting substances in the manufacturing process. * Describe added survey item of content percentage without fail. (Refer to item 1.1.) * In the column of the purpose of unintentional use of contained chemical substance, describe impurities without fail. * In the case where a change in materials or chemical substance details occurred on the supplier side, the Survey Request Form, Delivery Specifications and Environmental Substance Report as one set should be submitted to the buyer in a charge before the change. Please submit the Delivery Specifications for replacement (Delivery Specifications + Environmental Substance Report) Please submit the Survey Request Form (Survey Request Form + Environmental Substance Report) The above Environmental Substance Report with the described no applicable items should be submitted, in a case where there are no applicable chemical substances. For resubmission, check the resubmission column in the Environmental Substance Report and describe the reason. For an additional resubmission, the same procedures apply. * In a case where the Environmental Substance Report cannot be submitted on the certification, the reason should be clarified. Check applicable one of following three items and submit to the buyer for adjustment beforehand. ( )Cannot submit at this time, however will submit by the due date at the right. (date) ( )Will respond immediately after receipt of survey information (supplied material data, etc.) from Pioneer Corporation. Information details: ( )Cannot respond. Reason 1.3 In the case of raw materials supplied by Pioneer Corporation on charge Submission format * Format PC-Env D0403 Environmental Substance Report (for raw materials supplied by Pioneer Corporation on charge) (Should be used in the case of steel materials, aluminum materials, resin materials, cardboard base paper, solder plated wire and nonferrous materials) * Should be attached to the quotation to be submitted. (Content and purpose of use of contained chemical substances in unit quantity (1kg) should be described.) In the column of the purpose of unintentional use of chemical substance contained in metals, etc., describe impurities without fail. (Refer to the Entry example (7).) 2. Revision history * July 2000 First edition * June 2001 Ver. 2 issued * Survey form is revised to four types of Countable parts, Uncountable parts, Survey form for attachment and Raw materials supplied by Pioneer Corporation on charge. * Columns for supplier code, TEL, resubmission in the survey form were added. (Parts) * A column for resubmission in the survey form was added. (Raw materials supplied by Pioneer Corporation on charge.) * Survey form entry method was changed in the case of no applicable environmental substance. * Entry of E000 Check the check column for not applicable * Specified that a sheet / attachment of paper for each product should be submitted except for the case of batch certification. * Specified that the number of documents to be submitted should be 1 set and attached to the survey request form. * Specified that service dedicated parts are not required for submission. * Specified that multiple type data is not required for submission. * Defined that changed data should be submitted only in the case of a change in contained substance and specified the entry method. * Revised and clarified entry examples and description * June 2002 Ver. 3 issued * Environmental substance List and Survey Form were changed according to adoption of Green Procurement Survey Common Format substances contained in the Environmental Substance List were revised to 28 substance groups. Survey Form: Divided into the Basic Information Survey and Chemical Substance Survey Basic Information Survey: Pioneer Part No., your Company Type No., part mass and presence or absence of ozone-depleting substances used in the manufacturing process, company name, supplier code, department in charge, Telephone No., date of preparation should be surveyed. Chemical Substance Survey: Group Nos and names of 28 substances were described in the survey form. Content, substance-containing component and purpose of use per substance classification No. unit was to be surveyed. 2. Environmental substance used in the manufacturing process is limited to ozone-depleting substance. 4

5 * February 2003 Ver. 4 issued * Environmental Substance Control Standards GGP-001-A was issued, Environmental Substance List and Survey Form were revised according to a change in MEC Certification Standards. 1. Environmental Substance List was revised to Version 4 (Ver.4). Conditional control ranking of chromium compounds was changed to elimination in use. 7 selected substances for full elimination were specified. Prohibited condition list subject to applicable laws and regulations were added. 2. Upgrading of Environmental Substance Survey Environmental Substance Survey Form was revised to Environmental Substance Report. All parts to be certified are subject to submission in the Environmental Substance Report. Chemical substance content percentage (ppm) survey is to be conducted for cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead and mercury * March 2003 Ver 4.1 issued * Name of the 3-page documents was revised. * April 2004 Ver. 5 issued Revised according to issuing Environmental Hazardous Substances Standard GGP-001-C * The 28 substance groups in the Environmental Substance List were changed to 29 substance groups. * Format numbers were changed. 4. Notes from PAC Should there be any discrepancy on the Descriptions and Procedures on this Environmental Substances Report Manual Ver.5, please verify with the Buyer In-charge. Indications of Certificate Request Form or Delivery Specifications in this manual is classified as Part Approval Form A/B and Approval Specifications in PAC procedures. 5
