FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ETERNITY PE/GE/ME/LE Date: 27 th May 2015 Version: V1R1 Author: Chirag Nandasana
How to map DDI numbers of Service Provider PRI in systems connected over QSIG with different MSN and Extension Numbers? Service Provider PRI PILOT No ETERNITY A ETERNITY B QSIG Ext.: DDI Ext.:-2002 DDI Ext.:-4005 DDI Ext.:-4006 DDI Setup Introduction: Two systems are connected to each other using the QSIG Tie-up There is one Service Provider PRI line connected to the ETERNITY A PRI service provider Pilot number is DDI Numbers to lands on ETERNITY A DDI Numbers to lands on ETERNITY B Extension range of ETERNITY A and ETERNITY B is 2XXX and 4XXX respectively
Configuration of ETERNITY A: Step1: Configure the Extension Range of System A 2XXX.
Step2: Go to the DDI Routing under the T1E1-Port Parameters and configure as per the above step. Configuration for the 1 st Trunk T1E1 (Service Provider) Configure as per the Service provider. Configure for the I/C and O/G. 01 Represents for the T1E1 Trunk I/C & O/G Reference ID.
Step3: Go to the DDI Routing under the T1E1-Port Parameters and configure as per the above step. Configuration for the 2 nd Trunk T1E1 (Q-Sig with System B) Configuration SBFT -6. configure the SBFT -06 (can be changed). As the User of System-B will dial External Caller by Access Code 0 set in System-B CUG (Closed User Group). So you need to give the OTBG and assign the LIVE PRI TRUNK.
Step4: Go to the DDI Routing-Incoming Reference Table. Configure for the Incoming call on Service Provider Line 01 IC Ref.ID represents the calls coming from the Service Provider Line configured in the Step-2.
Step5: Go to the DDI Routing Table. Configure for the I/C & O/G of calls for System- A Configure for the I/C & O/G Calls for System-B 01 DDI Routing Reference ID represents the calls coming from the Service Provider Line configured in the Step-4. as for the calls to route in System B, configure the Table ID 2&3. In Route to Destination, always keep the Routing Group in top order compare to T1E1.
Step6: Go to the DDI Routing Outgoing Reference Table. Configure the Pilot number of SP PRI
Step7: Go to the Routing Group. Configure the OTBG & keep the rest of the Members As NONE. Routing group-5 is being configured in the Step-5. As the calls going to the System-B will be routed using the Routing Group-OTBG 5.
Step8: Go to the OG Trunk Bundle Groups. Configure for the OGTBG Member-1 & keep Rest Members as 0 OG Trunk Bundle Gorup 5 has been configured from the Step-7 (for routing the calls to System-B).
Step9: Go to the OG Trunk Bundle Groups. Configure the T1E1 2 for sending external I/C DDI calls to System-B. Configure the Start Channel No. 16 & Total Trunk Count 30 Configure the ANT Table OG Trunk Bundle 5 has been configured from the Step-8 (for routing the calls to System-B). The Start Channel No.& Total Channel Count will be 16 & 30. In this the Call will route to System-B via Channel starting from 16 to 30. Here we have bifurcate the 30 Channels into 15 &15. The first 15 channels will be used for the internal calls and the rest 15 channels will be used for External Callers only. As you need to configure the ANT table as well because you need to replace the DDI number to the Respective Extension Number of the System-B.
Step10: Go to the Automatic Number Translation (ANT). Configure the Dialed Number String as capital X & with Strip digit 5 (may vary, see example below) Configure the Add Prefix. Here 4 is the Extension Series of System-B As in the Dialed Number String XXXXXXXX is the total digits of the pilot number. XXXXXXXX = & Strip Digits is 5 stands for stripping the total Digits of the Pilot number eg. : After Stripping 000. After this Add Prefix 4. So the number dialed out to the System-B 4XXX.If the DDI number is and it should land on Extension on System-B, so the number coming to System-A will be and after ANT it will be 4007.
Configuration of ETERNITY B: Step1: Go to the Closed User Group and configure as shown below. Configure the CUG as shown. 2 will be for the internal calls & 0 will be for Outgoing external calls Configure the OG Trunk Bundle Group. 01 will be for Internal Calls & 02 will be for External Configure the Dialed Digit Count as 04 & 15, so that the system will take less time to route the call
Step2: Go to the OG Trunk Bundle Groups. Configure the OGTBG LCR (Number Based) for both Internal & External Calls. Configure the OGTB Member-1 as 001 & 002 for Internal & External Calls. Configure only the OG Trunk Bundle Member-1 & rest all the OG Trunk Bundle Members will be configured as 000 (None). Group No. 1&2 configured in the Step-1.
Step3: Go to the OG Trunk Bundle Configure the Bundle No. 1 & 2 for Internal & External Calls. Configure the Start Channel No., Total Trunk Count & Rotation Type as shown in the figure. Here in this configuration when the User Calls Internal to the System- A it will use the Bundle No.1 & while making the External calls it will use Bundle No.2. In this we have distributed the Channels for Calling System-A & External calls because the Different Series of the Extension number and DDI number.
Step4: Go to the T1E1 Port Parameters T1E1 1. Configure the Carrier same as shown in the config. Configure the DDI Routing as per the config shown. Here in this we have configured Treat Incoming Call As Station & we have kept the DDI Routing-Incoming(IC) Reference ID for (WH/BH/NH) as 00. When there is an incoming call from External or Internal from System-A, it will match the CLI from the route accordingly because we have kept the Incoming Call as Station.
Step5: Go to the DDI Routing Table. Configure the DDI Routing Table, shown as per the example. As in the System-B, we have configured the two entries, one of the calls for System-A & second entry for making the calls Externally. In this config, there is no Incoming configured in the table, because the Q-Sig Trunk has been kept as STATION, so it will route the I/C call as per the CLI directly without making the DDI Routing Entry.
Step6: Configure DDI Routing Outgoing Reference Table. Configure DDI Routing- Outgoing Reference Table. As in the System-B, we have only configured the DDI Routing for the Outgoing calls only. So When the user of System-B calls the user of System-A it will use the Table ID-1 & when the user will call external numbers than it will use the Table ID-2. In this configuration always distribute the channels for the Internal Call and External Call. So Start Channel No. & Channel Count for calling System-A will be 01 to 15 and for calling externally it will be 16 to 30 ( this is being configured in the Step-3).
Step7: Go to the T1E1-PRI/QSIG Signaling. Configure T1E1 PRI/QSIG Signaling- ISDN Swtich Variant-QSIG E1.
