1 HOW TO NAIL YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH Stand Out From the Crowd and Get the Career Acknowledgement You Deserve.

2 STAND OUT & GET NOTICED Everyday we run into and meets hundreds of people. Literally. As you re walking down the street you will see hundreds of new faces but not many, if any, will leave a lasting impression on you. So, how do you make sure you stand out and don t get lost in the sea of people? With an impressive elevator pitch. The World Is Changing Companies are spending billions of dollars on advertising to create a unique message that is captivating, engaging, and more importantly, outstanding and attention-grabbing even if it s just for one second. I dare my clients to do the same.

3 Times have dramatically changed, and technology has transformed everything. I mean we hold computers in the palm of our hands. Making it so much easier to connect with even more people that we might remember for a day but eventually forget, all thanks to social media. The world has definitely evolved. Career development has changed, and like it or not, the way you need to position yourself in order to stand out has changed too. You can no longer fly by on simply winging it and hoping it is good enough to get hired or promoted. Why doesn t this work anymore you ask? Because there are others, equally qualified and experienced, gunning for the same job or promotion, believing the same thing, hoping for the same outcome, and then not getting it Just like you

4 You need to stand out, grab attention and most importantly, create an unshakable first impression to get that job or get promoted. Otherwise, what s the point, right? Grab A Decision Maker s Attention And Keep It. You remember in the beginning I mentioned that companies are spending billions of dollars solely to create marketing campaigns that captivate, engage, and stand out to their audience? Well, you need to be doing exactly the same (and I don t mean spending the billions of dollars). How on earth do you do that? You see, a an elevator pitch is the promise you make about what you can do, bring, and deliver for the company. It s your unique value proposition. It answers the question why you?, It highlights your seniority, authority, and who you work best with within a company

5 FIRST STEP: KEEP IT SIMPLE Firstly, I want you to write down your job title and years of experience and WHAT you do. Example: International Sales Director with over 10 years of experience in B2B/B2C IT software sales for enterprise organisations. SECOND STEP: BIG PICTURE PROMISE Write down the problem you love solving for a company. This is your promise about what YOU can deliver. (Think about the benefit or outcome) Example: Proven track record in increasing sales revenue and ROI by reviewing existing sales structures, analysing new business development targets and partnership relations.

6 THIRD STEP: HOW Write down HOW you solve the problem. All the tools you use. How do you deliver on your big picture promise. Example: Expert in developing and implementing sales processes by defining a strategy FORTH STEP: COLLABORATION Write down who do you work closely with. This is a great opportunity to highlight your seniority. Example: The executive team and external stakeholders and I m passionate about developing and leading sales teams through coaching and mentoring to achieve individual targets.

7 FIFTH STEP: ALL TOGETHER Write everything together Example: International Sales Director with over 10 years of experience in B2B/B2C IT software sales for enterprise organisations. Proven track record in increasing sales revenue and ROI by reviewing existing sales structures, analysing new business development targets and partnership relations. Expert in developing and implementing sales processes by defining a strategy in collaboration with the executive team and external stakeholders. Passionate about developing and leading sales teams through coaching and mentoring to achieve individual targets.

9 WHEN TO USE YOUR PITCH. Your pitch is the most critical part of your profile. It is the foundation of HOW you want to position yourself. It is the core of your personal brand. You ll use your Pitch both in verbal and written communication. Of course, you adjust it depending on the situation. Here s where you use your pitch: On your resume - also called career summary or career statement. On your LinkedIn Profile summary. In an interview when people ask you Tell me about yourself Internally to raise your profile. Externally with external partners. Networking events. With recruiters
