4 CRIRSCO promotes COMMITTEE de best FOR practices MINERAL RESERVES for the reporting of Mineral Exploration Results, INTERNATIONAL Mineral REPORTING ResourcesSTANDARDS and Mineral Reserves. The CRIRSCO standards aim to quantify, qualify, and categorize mineral assets on the basis of the best supported data, models, and criteria. A clear distinction between resources and reserves is mandatory. CRIRSCO is an international advisory body without legal authority, relying on its constituent members to ensure regulatory and disciplinary oversight at a national level. It recognises the truly global nature of the minerals industry and the agreed need for international consensus on reporting standards.

10 Admission Title of university professional associated with the mineral industries (geologists, mining, processing, environmental, and others). Five (5) years experience relevant to type of mineralization and deposit and the activity being undertaken Member or Fellow of professional body with enforceable code of ethics. (In Chile penalties and sanctions because of negligence or inattention of vulnerabilities are established by law).

11 Responsibility of National Reporting Organization (NRO) in setting up guidelines, procedures, admissions rules. International agreements through Recognized Overseas Professional Organizations (ROPO) to let CP from one NRO to act as CP in another.

12 Reports on exploration results, resources and reserves INTERNATIONAL are REPORTING prepared STANDARDS under a team approach but the leader a Competent or Qualified Person signs off. A Competent Person is satisfied in their own mind and able to face peers and demonstrate competence in the commodity, type of deposit and situation.

13 Modifying Factors Mining Metallurgical Economic Marketing Legal Environmental Social Governmental Resources are defined by their technical attributes (tonnages, grades, recovery, contaminants, and others). Reserves are defined incorporating socio-economic parameters into their resources. These socio-economic parameters are modifying factors

15 Exploration Results include data and information generated by exploration programmes that may be of use to investors but is not part of a formal declaration of Mineral Resources or Reserves Tonnage and grade not to be reported!

16 Resources are concentration of material of economic interest in or on the earths crust in such form quality and quantity that there are reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction. Measured, Indicated, Inferred Not an inventory of all mineralization!

17 Reserves are the economically mineable part of Measured and/or Indicated Mineral Resource Includes dilution and losses Appropriate assessments have been carried out and modifying factors have been considered Demonstrated at time of reporting and extraction is reasonably justified Proven and Probable

21 The CRISCO Template constitutes an aid for those countries that wish to prepare a code consistent with the best international practices. It constitutes a consolidated version of the various national codes and, from this standpoint, it is a model utilized to develop and prepare a new Code. T6

30 UNFC AND CRIRSCO CRIRSCO AND UNFC The CRIRSCO standard requires a report directly based on geo metallurgical data and models. There is not provision for any category of nondiscovered resources. The classification system UNFC assigns three attributes to a mineral asset: geological, socio-economic viability, project feasibility. It is normally used for a company s internal reporting and for reporting potentially regional mineral supplies.

31 UNFC AND CRIRSCO CRIRSCO AND UNFC The CRIRSCO COMMITTEE standard FOR is MINERAL explicit RESERVES in showing evidences and supporting data to demonstrate potential, vulnerabilities, uncertainties, opportunities, and risks of mineral assets for financial and project development purposes. The classification system UNFC is necessary to assess regional mineral endowment, plan the search of new mineral deposits, anticipate mineral supply, and to prepare mineral inventories of mining companies.
